Crayons! I'm in a much better mood lately, and I was very pleased to break open my brand-new box of crayons to do this. After this I might head back around to Photoshop again, but I like experimenting with different mediums. And different Duran Duran songs XD Someone actually suggested this one to me on my DA profile page a while back--I wish I could remember who it was. If they stumble on this, whoever suggested What Happens Tomorrow, thanks, it stuck in my brain!
I also love Danny's love of stars, the space, NASA, all that. His excitement is always so touchable when he gets into his hobby, and I like that very much.
This was drawn in HB pencil and colored in crayons. Danny and Sam are outlined in Sharpie marker, and I added the (highly) stylized Fentonworks brick wall in Photoshop Elements, as well as some blurring in the sky with the blur tool (that was purely experimental). I had fun with this one. Good day today.
Do not own: Danny, Sam, any lyrics belonging to Duran Duran. But as I always say, I'm very happy to watch and listen.
You've got to believe it'll be all right in the end...

I adore, adore that song, and it was the first one that I really came to connect to DP, at least in my head. There was just something so dark and dramatic but hopeful about it that I just felt it fit- almost seeming to hit not only on what Danny and Sam go through with each other, but looking at that, and how amazing that is, in the context of all the danger and uncertainty that goes with what he does. I can almost see the whole thing happening out in my head, especially that last directive- "you're never alone." Guh. Gets me every time. Loading that up on my comp has totally made my running on three hours of sleep day so, so much better. It's just what I would have thought happening in a scene like that. They just look, so happy. Wonderful job. *glee* Oh, good music and DP, a combination of my two favorite things...

You are so right about that song. It is totally Danny, all the way up from it's enough you're growing up in such a hurry all the way down to never alone. I keep getting more and more ideas for other lines to use--this might have to become a series-thing at this rate XD I was planning another one for If you love me, I'll protect you however I can but I also have a "Save a Prayer" thing running around in my head too. XD I'm such a spaz, I love it.

"Oh wow! I wonder if she'd think 'what happens tomorrow' is a good DP song" so I think I mentioned it when I was first getting around dA because I thought you might think it'd be good for inspiration or stuff like that.
