Anyways soundcloud already had that colour in their site. Deviantart?? dA is green and plopping soundclouds logo into all this green can raise lots of flags for 'where the fuck did dA come up with this ORANGE logo all of a sudden it doesnt even fit?"

Everyone is ragging on dA about how they stole from soundcloud or roblox or whatever else, yet nobody is yelling at soundcloud for stealing from roblox or that one flag.

Roblox is a website? What you think of the change, either good or bad, is just an opinion and can not be stated a fact. You might think it's shitty and unneeded, I might think it's cool and a great feature. I like the Core name, and more features are to be added to it at a later date.
Actually, I don't even have a job. The membership was a gift. Even if I myself had the money to buy a membership, I would choose not to buy it because I wouldn't use enough of the features for it to be worth my money. If I was more active and took art seriously, I might buy it.
This website isn't a playground for kids nor is it an office meeting for adults, it's for both of them (as long as you are 13+) to make art, critique, and comment, maybe even make some friends while doing so. People with huge incomes can go on this site, there's nothing from stopping them. Then again, people with 0 income such as myself have nothing stopping them from joining.

They took features away. They've been taking features away from everyone for a while now it didnt start with how core is just a more expensive less featurful version of premiums.
Most of the features on PM's everyone could use.. now core?? it took away a lot and make it more expensive why are you so surprised that people don't like it. I see you're not that involved in the community or art but there are people who are and core is just another fuck up by the staff who have been letting this site go to shit for the past many many years.
okay yes I agree its not a playground but the features should be easier to get for everyone. its MOSTLY younger people here is what I meant. There no doubt about it. And in the past we'd be able to consider raising enough points to get a pm or two Β it was a friendlier thing for everyone on the site. now its just likE???? I've been here for longer than 8 months, probably 2 and a half years on another account. They didn't take features away, they just haven't added anything new yet. I know some people who are really involved with the community and most of them are fine with it, some even supportive.
There's a specific kind of bias, I can't remember the name, but it's defined as when let's say something gets announced, and lots of people yell about how they hate it. Meanwhile, the people who are fine with it aren't saying much. People are much more likely to say I HATE THIS than I LIKE THIS. Then, people see that the only ones yelling are the ones that hate it, leading to the conclusion that everyone hates it. This is happening right now pretty much.
You don't need a Core membership to be successful on this website. If you can't afford it then don't buy it! $50 isn't that much when put into perspective. When working minimum wage in the USA, it would take a little less than 7 hours to get $50, just under a work day. You could mow a couple lawns, shovel a driveway or two, and you have e year of membership right in your hands. If you're not making minimum wage or you're struggling with money, there's a simple way to decide how to spend your money: Needs vs Wants. Core memebrship is a want. Food, water, bills, insurance, etc are needs.
Staff have recognized all of the negative feedback from releasing Core, and even acknowledged that they should have given a warning. However, even with all of the negative feedback, they are sticking with it, and they're doing so for a reason: They believe that it will be successful. This is coming from a website that is older than half of the people that use it. To become one of the largest art websites, they must have done something right.

I just love the fact that they couldn't even be bothered to recolor it. I mean it would have taken me less than 5 minutes to recolor everything dealing with core and less than a minute for just the dragon balls. Seriously DA? GIMP has a Colorize feature and GIMP is free. Just UGH.
