rabbit? i drew a chinchilla and if your talking about my character then her ears can raise up like bunny ears, and her tail can be cut off and it grows back looking like a fluffy bunny tail at first until it gets longer and looks like it does now ^__^

I love chinchillas. ^-^ My sister has 2 that I take care of for her right now while she's at school, Taiyo and Tsuki. Tayio's a standard grey, while Tsuki's a blonde. They're so cute, and so sweet. ^-^

heh. Probably for the best until your own little one gets older. A friend of mine, who introduced myself and my sisters to chinchillas, had two that bred, then the mother died of a uterine infection when the babies were 8 das old, so she had to hand raise them until ther were weened...so...yeah...there's aparently a decent risk of such things happening...and raising one baby with feedings every 2-4 hours is hard enough. ^-^ But I would say that if you can afford it when your little one is bigger, go for it. ^-^ But...be aware that when the chin babies are born they can see...and run...and escape cages if the bars to them aren't SERIOUSLY close together.
