Escargolem

My daughter and I chose a random direction to start our adventure, with our new addition the Snapping Drake in tow. The walk was wonderful the forest was lush with many lovely flora and fauna. It's a good thing that Lujayn has good sense of direction other wise finding our way back to the ship may be a problem.

My eagerness to see all I could led us in a curving path until we reached the side of a mountain. There was a cave not to far form us. The Snapping Drake stayed behind as my daughter and I went in for a closer look. It looked like a simple if labyrinth like cavern system.

As we entered the sound of stone grinding against stone. In the hole before us something emerged. Lujayn voiced her dismay at what appeared. A large escargot like rock golom creature. It regarded us with a heavy gaze then left, I think it deemed us to be no threat. I stayed longer to watch this creature in its habitat staying out of the way. And Lujayn out of the cave entirely. Not that I blame her she never did have good encounters with escargot like creatures since she was small.

Form my observations it was not a violent creature yet all creatures within the cave scattered form it. And form experience I know the creatures in the cave where not all timid. Its food seem to be the rock, which would explain the cave systems. After time I learned that it would not tolerate any disturbance of the cave of any sort.

But I must get back to exploring the forest and I know Lujayn is starting to worry. Perhaps I can observe more of this creature at a later date.
