While Dani's in the Screening Room with Jazz, Dan and a thoroughly bored Danny meet the Fentons for the first time (Danny isn't paying that much attention, while Dan is really amused there are ghost hunters in front of him and neither have any idea).And this is where I pretty much stopped with the story so far. Story, now... I don't even have locations for it yet.

This scene kinda doesn't happen anymore, since the Fenton family meets the siblings the day before the party now (once I'm done with the first chapter, at least), plus some minor details that don't matter that much.
This AU runs on the concept that ghosts and humans are different species altogether. While there are ghosts who were created after the death of a human (the Lunch Lady, Sidney Pointdexter, Ember McLain), they're a small minority in the Ghost Zone. Most ghosts are born from other ghosts; ghosts created from humans are not the norm.
Humans and ghosts are also incompatible 80-90% of the time, so attempts at artificially creating halfas will result in dead humans/erased ghosts in the worst cases. Halfas can be conceived, but it takes finding a ghost and a human who can procreate together, and that is more likely to happen accidentally than on purpose. Halfas also have a horrible reputation in the Ghost Zone, so ghosts are less inclined to look for compatible humans.
Dan, Danny, and Dani are siblings and halfas; their father happens to be Plasmius, who is a full ghost here. Vlad Masters and Plasmius are different people, but thanks to the prototype Fenton Ghost Portal they literally crashed into each other. They've been collaborating since then: Vlad gets the weirdest resources nobody else can match/reproduce from the Ghost Zone, Plasmius has a strong foothold in the human world through Vlad. He also acts as the siblings' uncle whenever they're visiting in their human forms.
At Amity Park, Jack and Maddie had only Jazz, who isn't interested in their jobs/obsessions at all at this point, so their Ghost Portal remained inactive until little before Bitter Reunions canonically happens. The Lunch Lady, Dora, the Box Ghost, Skulker, Technus, Sidney, and Desiree made no appearance in the city (though Sidney is still haunting his locker); however, the world does know about the existence of ghosts, so the Fentons aren't seen as the idiots of the city (Ghostly Babysitting takes place in his AU).
...I don't have much planned for Amity Park: Danny (Phantom) doesn't live there, and it plays no role until the Fenton Ghost Portal makes the city a hot-spot for ghosts (the average ghost has to use natural -and unpredictable- portals between the Ghost Zone and the human world; there are ghosts who can create their own portals, like Wulf, but few of them offer to take other ghosts with them, and others are on the "fly away in the other direction as fast as you can" list. The only other reliable Portal belongs to Plasmius and is located in Vlad's mansion, but good luck getting Plasmius's permission to use it).
By the way, Vlad is still hitting on Maddie.

Ooooh, that could happen, between Dani wanting to keep up with Jazz and Vlad still trying to win Maddie's affections over (which includes visiting the Fentons at Amity Park and maybe Jack/Maddie asking him to bring his niece/nephews over because why not), Dan and Jazz could have time to interact and then outsiders mistake it for dating and suddenly everyone at Casper High is sure serious, mature Jazz Fenton is dating this mysterious older guy who happened to drive her to school once~
Nothing certain, but they will spend time together; I really want to draw those two now though PX

For me I think Dan and Jazz will make a couple. Now that they are not blood related but it will take time to build that relationship.
