So for example, if you're teaching a dog a trick, if when it does the trick, and you give it food, it will come to link food with doing the trick?

You're thinking about operant conditioning. Operant conditioning is about changing how often someone does an activity through rewards and punishments. So a dog will do tricks more often because you rewarded it with food. Classical conditioning is more about natural responses to things.

What do you mean by "series?"

I noticed that awhile ago that you made a walfas comic about the different perspectives of psychology featuring Kokoro, and then you made one about classical conditioning. So I almost thought that it would end up into a series.

Ah, I see. I think I'll make a comic about operant conditioning, but after that I'm not sure. If you consider this a series, it'll be rather short.

Then I guess it would be a mini-series. But if you wishΒ to gain an idea, how about one with Koishi summarizing Freud's psychodynamic theory with emphasis on the subconscious and phallic metaphors.

Is Freud's psychodynamic theory the "iceberg" one?

The psychodynamic theory states that psychological growth is due to the person's childhood since Freud believed that psychological growth stopped at childhood. Freud also believes that the mind is influenced by the subconscious via the id, ego, and superego. Koishi would be perfect as the host since she manipulates the subconscious and some of her spell cards reference Freud. I can see Yukari, Suika, and Remelia symbolizing the id. Eiki would symbolize the ego, and Byakuren, Miko, and Kasen would represent the superego. Koishi would give a brief discussion about the id, ego, and superego.

Alright, thanks! I wanted to make sure it didn't include the stuff about dreams, the psychosexual stages, and the defense mechanisms.
I think I'll use your idea about having Koishi explain, though I have a different idea for explaining the three parts.
