Actually, I didn't mean to introduce my character this way, buuut... I just want to participate in the pageant contest this year so I could challenge myself to draw more and stuff.
I doubt she'd join such kind of contest by her own will, but I'm a friggin' puppeteer that can do anything with their chars, mwahahah! So LET'S PRETEEEEND it was her annoying sis that persuaded her. Or something. 'cause I need some reasonable explanation. And, of course, it's out of storyline.

Vigoriens are keen on the ideas of making the world a better place via scientific and technologic revolution. Accordingly, they are a technologically advanced race (even more advanced than irkens) that heavily depends on their system networks, robots and computers.
Preserved and autonomous, vigoriens don’t particularly enjoy getting in contact with other species.
That’s why not much is known about them. For the most people, they are just some weird guys in mecha-suits with different tech, glowing stuff and energy manipulations.
However, from what is known, vigoriens are thought to be cold-hearted and unfeeling machines, as they restrain their emotions, rely on logic and think of practical benefits in the first place. Another thing that can give chills is that their real intentions are often unclear, so one may never know what these guys are up to.
Vigoriens are being criticized by other races for interfering into the “natural state of things”, but they don’t care much about it and consider their own actions as a part of that very “natural process”.
This species is thought to have common ancestry with the irkens, but no one knows their origin for certain. Nonetheless, they have some distinguishable physical traits (visually noticable), and their cultural background and worldview differ dramatically. That being said, vigoriens just can’t stand it when people mess them up with irkens.

I prefer not to stick my characters to a certain biological age. I believe that, for aliens, both age and time are somewhat relative things because of the lack of a common measuring system. It’s nearly impossible to create because of different understanding of time itself, different planet rotation periods, and some aliens not even living on planets but other space structures, be they natural or artificial (think ringworld). Space travel, time warps and other kinds of such stuff have to be considered as well.

[About height]
Fai is quite a short person, even for her race. She is a bit shorter than Zim, if that gives you any idea. Good for her, vigoriens’ hierarchy is based on things other than height.

[About occupation]
Vigoriens have some kind of “assignments”, so they might not have the same job for too long. Some of them work in one specific field for many years, while others, like Fai, can be assigned to absolutely different kinds of job whenever the need arises, be that job inside of their usual field or not.

[About gender identity]
She is female by biological sex.
Vigoriens don’t care much about their gender identities, as long as everyone acts according to the assigned roles within the system. They tend to call themselves “units” rather than talk about genders/biological sex.
Fai isn’t quite satisfied with her “reproduction unit” label, but that’s another story.

[About the suit]
Every vigorien wears a standard suit that covers their whole body, except for the head.
The colour of the suit tends to match the wearer’s eyes (for instance, Fai’s one is blue). Also, the lightest parts of it can glow in the dark.
This suit is a visual identifier of one’s role in vigoriens’ system, which is closely related to their biological sex. There are three different patterns for each of them (male = worker unit [X], androgyne = support unit [Y], female = reproductive unit [Z]).
It might seem to be impartible, yet can be easily disassembled piece by piece, and then reassembled. The pieces can both stick together and be separated as well.
Vigoriens don’t usually wear anything else, as the suit provides them with everything they need. It has thermostatic properties and can save them from both heat and cold (but not from extreme temperatures). They can swim in it, and it dries in a matter of seconds. The material of the suit can conduct electric current with no harm to the wearer. Also, it repels dust and, maybe, some dirt.
In other words, the suit makes one feel comfortable in non-extreme conditions and slightly raises the chance of survival.
The suit can be easily washed with a special cleaning agent. It has to be taken off beforehand, though.

[About outfits change]
Even though vigoriens wear the same suit all the time, it is actually able to change its form and turn into other outfits due to its physical properties.
There are certain outfit presets the suit can be modified into (for different social roles, apparently).
A vigorien can modify their suit into something custom as well. The only limits are imagination, and, of course, properties of the material (like, it can’t be stretched to infinity).
Vigoriens don’t usually feel like showing their individuality through clothing. That’s why they prefer the standard suit form over anything else, even though they can alter it any moment. The only possible exception is the costumes that identify one’s social role/position.
Changing outfits too often can be considered as showing off (especially if they look bizarre), as long as it doesn’t concern the change of a social position. Vigoriens don’t like posers much.
The suit can change its colour as well, but even if they decide to use its “form-changing” properties, vigoriens prefer to stick to the same pattern they usually wear, or just slightly modified one.
In this contest, Fai’s probably going to use these features of the suit to her advantage. With some holograms added, maybe.
