Great technique, I like looking in the back ground and seeing how all the simple shapes come together. Personally I love the skulls, but it is just me. The movement of his clothing is great. Your shading and overall line work is what really makes this piece stand out. Everything you did came together perfectly. To tell the truth I only see small nitpicks that you can only see with a microscope. Someone in the comments beat me to it , in all of your art I have scene your Contour lines and line weight is on point.

I especially like how you did the background here; being inside the swirling shape, and the lines in the sky. I think the black and white really works well for the whole picture.

Oh cool ! I only saw the first 5 episodes to this and I really like this show !^-^. I dont know about death the kid . . . . Anyways ! Very wonderful capture of the halloween feel the show has and I love how that's the main selling point here . Halloween all the way even tho I'm way too old for it now . . . . Sadface . . . .

Ah! I love this anime! Actually, I really just like Crona, but the rest of the show was pretty good as well haha.
The black and white ink style really works for this character, as he is mainly black and white himself. I really like the detail of the school and the graves in the swirly cape tail. For not watching the show, you have captured the style of the show very well! Excellent for making recognisable fanart! Though, Kid typically carries his guns upside down, but I'm not gripe about that one small detail because that actually bothers me a little that he does that because in real life that would have broken his wrists! XD But I guess when you are as epic as the son of Death, you needn't not worry about broken wrists.
I do agree with Erynnia that the cape concept was not obvious at first. For me, this is in part that the part around is neck has a a layer on top of it, which I am not sure if that part above it is the hood or not. Also the crease in the cape is subtle, I would suggest making it a little more intense but not too much more. I also think that adding the crescent moon's face coming off of the cape would have created a nice effect, since it is so iconic to show, but that is just me. I applaud you for choosing the perspective you chose, as the worm's eye are typically hard to execute. And you managed pretty well. The resting hand does look a tad off, but it's not too much. I don't know if you used a reference or not, sometimes they can be hard to find. BUT, what helps me when I cannot find a reference is to actually make a model of the reference using MMD. Have you heard of this programme?
Keep it up, though! You have a sound style and have a great sense of concept!

It's a free animation programme featuring the cast of Vocaloid characters. So it comes with some models you can use. You can download it here www.geocities.jp/higuchuu4/ind… (I would suggest Direct X version) but if it doesn't work you can download the latest version here learnmmd.com/downloads/#latest…
It's a fairly easy programme to use. You may want to play around with it, it is actually an animation programme but I use it a lot for pose reference. But who knows, perhaps you would like to learn some animation too?

Hello, I'm here from ProjectComment 's tag game. Sorry for the incredibly long delay, this week has been hectic for me ^^
My word was hatching (as in crosshatching), and I don't know much about it, but this picture seems to fit.
Things I like:
The lines are really solid, and have a good feel to them.
You've conveyed the message really well in this style. I like the whole atmosphere this piece gives.
It's fascinating to see how my eye goes through this picture. It starts on the kid, then swirls up and into the curl of the setting. Great job with the flow!
Things to maybe improve:
It took me a little while to realize that the background is his cloak that is flowing backwards and to the side. To make this more clear, I'd contrast him from the background more at the top, then slowly lessen the contrasting as you get down to the bottom until he melds into the background.
His anatomy is slightly off, mostly around the neck area, but it's not distracting.
That's honestly all that I can think of at the moment. Great job!
