Not bad, I like it. I am a Gambit/Rogue fan.... but for the past few years I've been looking at them differently. Who knows... this might happen one day. As we've seen before X-Men couples don't stay together forever.

I've said this a few times so I don't mean to repeat myself but...


I know that even a fictional relationship needs to have its ups and downs. But seeing as many as they have gone through… after a time if it just isn’t working out… then you have to come to realize that it just isn’t working.

I mean can you even call what Gambit and Rouge have a “relationship”??? Because this so-called relationship (An on and off relationship is what it is and always has been. That’s not love or a relationship) hasn’t work from the start. For over 18 years they’ve been a failed couple. I can’t even remember how many times they’ve broken up and got back together. Sometimes it seems they’ve never been right for each other at all. I mean a "southern slut" and a New Orleans “layer”??? When there not together both of them just about make-out with everyone they meet.

We have been shown five or six other X-Men worlds (and maybe more) where Gambit and Rogue didn’t get together (Age of Apocalypse, Exiles, Mutant X, Ultimate X-Men, the X-Men Movie world and maybe the new X-Men cartoon) and they’ve been shown to be “happier” when they’re with other people.

It seems more and more as the years go by that they were just not meant to be together. If they do get back together then I'm sure they'll just break up again and they'll start this whole thing all over again.

But I also have to ask the question... is Gambit too much of a player to really be with anyone?
