I'm guessing from some of the comments above you did the makeup yourself. Its very good. It almost seems simplistic... Its hard to explain what I mean. Its one of those easy to see the simplicity of it beneath the complicated idea. If you get what I mean... Main point: I enjoyed it and I really appreciate the makeup, in its complicated simplicity.

Actually the image has a great deal going for it. It has an intense amount of contrasting elements that lend to it's powerful feel. The tones are warm and surreal while the dark paint, the sharp stubble and the model looking back at the viewer really wake the brain up. I have to say that this is quite stunning.

I understand the feeling. That is quite alright though. My primary computer system has contracted a very nasty virus so I am unable to look around Deviant Art as much as I normally would right now but I'll come back by and check out more of your artwork. If the rest is like this then I can't wait!

I don't agree with the b+w either--the gold is really awesome, though I didn't notice till I full viewed it. I think the mask might look cool in silver too. Though now that I say that, the black is interesting because it gives quite a contrast. He is rather light and almost angelic, yet smeared with a crude black cover up. Reminds me of a friend I had that was very sweet and innocent but then got involved in a lot of crap to fit in with other people...covered up her golden self with shadows.
Makes me think. Nice job, thats what art is supposed to do, right?

I like it, the composition, styling and model choice are all very good, I think it could be enchanced by being in Black and White too because of all the textures and lines of his hair, only bad thing is his eye seems a little out of focus.

I didn't realise that he was covered in glitter until I looked at the full view. I loved this from the second I saw it, though. Everything about it is beautiful.
