Description
Hey, this is technically the first of my goal to tackle lesser known buff ladies in comics and cartoons. It also happens to be a commission for who has been quite busy as of late. Hopefully he doesn't mind me posting this early.This particular one is of Stunner, a lesser known Spider-Man villain from the 90s.

The 90s were weird for everyone, espicially the ones who grew up in it. (I don't call it the Dork Age for nuffin'!) BTW, AT4W is short for Atop The Fourth Wall, the comic reviews by Linkara of TWTWG; I like them as a whole, but Linkara's my favorite. I suppose it's just my repressed comic nerd making a statement. (And I wind up independantly agreeing with much of what he says, ESPICIALLY the Superman stuff. Superman be awesome, yo, and that is the scientific establishment's official statement on the subject.)
I've honestly never heard of Stunner (though the name is most appropiate, HAH HAH I MADE A FUNNY); I think it's because while I've read comics for like forever, I've never much had the opportunity to read things that are recent at the time I read them; I didn't find out about the Marvel Civil War until the event was over. I really like your rendition of her, and it's probably gonna end up in my headcanon, since I have this tendency to assume that a given character is pretty much as they are presented to me when I first see them. (For example, one of the first Adventure Time episodes I saw was 'Henchman', and due to my shippy frame of mind, I've shipped Finnceline ever since until it became my OT3. Then I met other Adventure Time fans and started shipping Fubbleline as my OT3 and now I think of Flumabaline as my favored Tench Solution and WHAT THE HELL THIS RUNNING COMMENTARY HAS GOTTEN TOTALLY OFF TRACK, WHY.)
Stunner's quite broad woman; it actually serves to make her look fairly short or at least compact, a bit like the more serious depictions of dwarves you see now and then. Peculiarily enough I'm very strongly reminded of Exalted and it's Mountain Folk (local equivilants of dwarves/hobbits/Tolkien-style elves all in one epic package), as the Warrior Caste, which correlates to dwarves, has at least one fluff picture of a female Warrior fighting the forces of the Darkbrood and due to the Warrior's sheer stocky curviness and hips it was extremely memorable for me. And now all I can think of are curvy dwarve ladies with enormous hips and I fail to understand how the hell I went from commenting on a Spider-Man fanart to that.
...At least Spidey approves of the situation he's in, yeah? (Hey, something related to the matter at hand! I COMMENT GOOD.)

Stunner is actually some sort of holographic solid projection of this woman, she's like a character in a character, its bizarre. However, she could easily be modified given her non corporeal nature, so while my interpretation is pretty thick, its not impossible. She's also a pretty tall gal, close to 7 feet if I remember.I'm trying to do some force perspective and low angle shiz, but its always a hard thing to pull off.

couldn't have just been some girl who doctor octopus gave a super serum to, or some lab accident, or something sensible... no... had to be some wacky stuff involving "virtual reality".

I don't know actually, I don't spend much time there. Benzai was always my favorite, him and Beary are awesomely french and silly.
