Finally.. the skies parted, and god said, let there be bandwidth...'m a modeler. Not an animator. And here's why.
Done in Maya as part of a college project. The instructor wouldn't accept anything less than an animation. So there you go. The only character 'v ever animated.
But the model looks sweet, doesn't it?
Anyways, that's my little animation. Proves without a shadow of a doubt that i should stick to modeling.

No seriously- I'm a complete computer illiterate! My domain is trad. art and photography- I think the closest I got to this kind of thing was modelling various electrical gizmos on 3D software for my GCSE project (with constant help of course...)

A lot of traditional art techniques apply in 3D space too, you know..? e.g. 3 point lighting, 2/3rds composition.. etc..

I think its pretty good for your first animation, nice model and the movements seem to be ok. Have you tryed speeding the ani up by 50% or so? because he moves reaaalllyyyy slow

Ha ha.. i know! But that's coz i had rendered in TGA frames and made the movie in flash, of all things, and managed to key in the frame rate wrong. (My college comp didn't have a video editing package at that time).
But yes, 'm no great shakes when it comes to animation. I think 'l stick to modeling for the time being.
