I would be annoying you by now, but... can you tell me if I can use the bouncing strawberries in my DA id and/or in my featured art?

haha do you mean these ones? [link]
feel free to use them on DA :3
you just need to use the code I gave in another comment
the code will work in your journal, as well as in the text section you can put info in when you 'edit' which deviation is being used for your Dev ID, etc

yes! that one cause I only know how to set an avatar picture thingy on my DA profile using
:icon______:<--thingy... so yeah that's why is kinda hard for me to use a deviantion

do you still need help?
I did paste the code to you elsewhere, did you get it?
you know how to edit the text under your DevID as you already have custom images and text beneath it . You just need to use the code I gave you, and paste it somewhere in the same section , or even in your journal
it wont work in comments, or deviation descriptions, but it will work in the info boxes beneath certain things you have access to edit on your main page, as well as any journal entry you make

1. Go to your Page
2. Click on 'edit' beside DeviantID
3. in the Description box paste the following
<**div align="center">
( remove all 4 *s or the code will not work )
4. Open another tab or window and go to here-> [link]
5. Right-click the bouncing strawberry image and select..
'copy image url' or 'copy image location' (it may say something else that's similar. It depends on your browser)
6. Go back to the window where you are editing your DevID. Highlight where it says URL in the code.
7. Hit ctrl+v, or right-click and choose paste. The url of my strawberry image will paste into the code
8. save your changes

If this doesn't work, it's possible that your account type will only allow the display of avatars, and that using html code won't work. I have a premium account so I'm not sure if a basic account can do what you're attempting
If you still don't understand, I'm not sure how else I could explain any of this
as for the bouncing pumpkin..that was made for use as an avatar only, I'm sorry

I'm very fond of this, and your other works, too. (And in my opinion, I don't think you were cheating by using transparency.) Stumbling upon your gallery at random made me remember those days when I was eleven years old and used to make cute little pixel animations all the time. Maybe I should take it up again sometime.
Great gallery.

hmm, I'm actually not sure now haha! Backgrounds this size usually take between 4-7 hours depending on detail though

wow that seems little next to what I had imagined O_O I thought it'd take at least a whole day...well I'd probably take more than a day to do that!

firstfear In reply to alcarin [2010-02-05 22:14:17 +0000 UTC]
well..I might not get it done in one literal sitting where i do nothing but stare at the screen pixelling for 7 hours straight xD, but accumulatively thats probably about what i spent. In this case I had an earlier background i had also drawn years ago now for whuddleworld that i could grab the tree from and edit so that cut back on time here :3

well in any case I love it! Have you tried doing a whole scenario of this?? cause it would be SO cool! and is whuddleworld nice?is it an online game like Gaia or something? cause I've seen you mention it a few times and I'm getting curious ^^ I checked out the website but didn't really get what it was about ._.

Whuddleworld is deffinitely in need of a more defined explanation of what the site IS exactly somewhere on the main page. I believe they have hopes to redo the information found there at some point.
Whuddleworld isn't exactly like Gaia, but it does have some similarities. On whuddleworld, like on Gaia you have access to an avatar (on whuddleworld it's called a Whuddletar) that you can dressup and buy backgrounds etc for. There is a quest system in the works still as far as I know. Random events and 'Combining' Items are both active. Random events popup randomly around the site and change thorughout the seasons/holidays. You might get a random useful item, some site currency, or something 'bad' might happen to you as well (example: mud splashes on your avatar that doesn't come off for a few hours). Item combining is pretty much as it sounds..whuddleworld has a system which when implemented can combine certain items to create other items. This leads to thigns like 'crafts' or 'baking/cooking' etc. Soon item combining and later quests will tie into a 'Skills' system. Certain skills will be needed to complete certain combinations or quests etc.
Because whuddleworld is primarily meant for a younger age group it is coppa compliant and the 'forums' or the BBB (BlabBlahBlah Board) are highly moderated/monitored and discussions are kept down to admin designated topics. Real world names and locations are prohibited alogn with offsite links.
Whuddleworld does however allow for the creation of 'mini forums' in your profiles which they call 'Omnibus's. Here those on your friends list can come and leave comments for you in topics you've created.
You also have the option of joining or creating a club which is a larger area for people to get together and create their own discussions etc.
If you do join feel free to add my account there to your friends list . You can search for me by going to the world map and typing 'Bisque' (without the 's) into the 'Whoodle Search' once you've joined. From there click my username and it will take you to my Omnibus/profile. You can then -right click- my Avatar and request my friendship

And I actually like the crosshatch transparency better than if you had just set a white color at like a 20% transparency value.
