Not when you get them for free. X3 (Not stolen, not even actually free, my dad got it at a discount because it had been a display item at the store he'd worked at and therefore they couldn't sell it in the store. Plus he got employee discount on top of that, so it was prob'ly only 50$. Plus it's about eight years old.) And it's a bit unfair when people have to make do with a mouse.

I agree, Tablets make things easier on people so it can be unfair to artist without them.=<
However 99% of art on my account was made with a Laptop Mousepad AND mouse. (It's a shared account. x3 ) It takes time, but mouses can do a lot of similar stuff as a tablet if practiced enough. =3 Non-tablet users just need to figuire out methods to do similar stuff like tablets. 8D
April & I only recently got a tablet.
However, I feel to continue improving we all need to obtain a tablet someday. =< They are pretty helpful if you get a chance to own and use one~ x3

Wow, severely delayed reaction.
Actually, when it comes down to it, advanced digital art employs all three (touch screen, mouse, and keyboard) and uses the tablet less than any other tool. (3d art would be impractical with a tablet actually.)
Maybe, but then again, if it came down to it, art is not a matter of your tools but the incredible insanity of the person using them. And the persistence. With many days, a bucket, hammer, and bar of iron, a person could make excellent sculptures, or a person could use dirt and their hands and achieve the same result. Artists should have some practice in many art-forms. And the continuing of our improvement isn't dependent on tablets at all. More so the practice with the tools we're given.

I was trying to say something similar, (like how I said even if you don't have a tablet, if you use a mouse you can still make art just as good) but I did a bad explanation. x3

Yeah. Well why not? It's proven true for most people, the more practice the better they are. Some people get worse with practice though! XDDD
