I appreciate each favorite I receive, but it's always kind of confused me when I find that someone has added my entire gallery to their favorites, without even adding me to their watch list!Feel free to use this stamp if you're just as confused as I am

I'm going to pose to you the same question I've asked someone else who has also said they do this sometimes . I'll just copy and paste as that's easier xD
"To be honest I don't understand the need to or want to favorite entire galleries even when you DO watch someone, but to each their own xD;. Personally If I like someones work that much..each and every piece..I make a point of going back and viewing them in their gallery again.
When you've added someones gallery to your favs, do you go back to your favs and view all of the images from there when you want to see them again? Or do you go back to the person's gallery? If the later, what drives you to add so much of their gallery to your favs? I'm just curious, sorry xD;"

Sometimes people deactivate their account or then their account is banned for some reason. If you then go to look at the gallery of that person you will only see message 'This account is deactivated (or banned)' and you can't look at the gallery. But if you go to your s you may be able to watch those deviations if that person didn't remove all his/her deviations from his/her gallery before the ban or deactivating. You can't anymore add comments to those deviations but you can still watch those and read the older comments. You can always try to find those pictures again with Google but it is much easier to try find them from your
s.
Examples:
Deactivated account: [link]
One of the Kikariz's deviations that you can still watch: [link]

I'm confused about this too. I mean, why fave all my shit in my gallery if you're not going to watch me? Don't get me wrong. I also appreciate every favorite but 67% of the time, I rarely get a watch out of it. >.> WTF? Anyway, great stamp~

(sorry for interjecting, Honey won't mind)
I find that, if I've been watching them for long enough, I can't find their page amongst my watch list so easily, so I tend to find it easier to look for their account through my faves.
Though to be honest, my faves do need a clear out, there's a lot of faves from years ago that I wouldn't even look at once (yet alone twice) anymore...
When it comes to me, if I had someone watching me and not faving anything I've done, it'd make me wonder why they watched me in the first place... whether there were a reason behind it other than liking my work... like maybe they just wanted someone to watch them back... (but maybe I'm putting a bit too much thought into it.
But on the other hand, when Honey (points above) had a guy faving her entire gallery in one go, I'd originally thought he was a bit of a creep (she's now dating him and he's moved over here to live with her, so shows what I know )

I think i'm a bit of both when it comes to gallery fav i like to visit the person's page and also view them from my own favs.
I'm an art student and for some strange reason my habits from class tend to seep into my day to day life. When i see something i like i book/magazine ect; i bookmark it, take the book out if i can and make photocopies of the book because i know i can't have the book for that long
Same with magazines i cut the bits i like out so i save space in my book case
I guess it's the same for my DA habit of faving, only i don't print anything off out of respect for the artist. I only fav so i know where it is...unless it got removed :/ in which it would be a shame haha.
Mind you mass faving use to happen to me on my old account, i shared the same concern only mine was more "why on earth are you faving that? its one of my rubbish ones." I just hope now that i have started this account, that i can finally get over the "that is rubbish" idea about my work
I hope that kind of answers your question

Why not both? ;D Also, I collect entire collections and galleries. I have a whole collection of them. Too bad it doesn't count as a mass fave!

I understand adding resources and inspiring images to collections, but I guess I don't get why someone would favorite HUNDREDS of Deviations (I have 941 right now, and I've had people go through and fav nearly half of my entire gallery in one go x_x) from a single person's gallery and then not even watch them so you can come back and see new things. It would seem easier to me..that if you really appreciated the majority of someones gallery THAT much..that simply hitting the watch button would make more sense than to add that many things to your favs.
With only a few things added to favs it makes sense to view them from the fav folder, but if you're wanting to add HUNDREDS from one person to your fav folder, I'd think it would be easier to just go back to the person's gallery when you wish to see things again.

Well, I am watching you ;D lols! Really? Hundreds??!! That's kinda crazy! I mean, it's great they love your gallery, but yes that's a lot of effort. Collecting the gallery and devwatching makes more sense to me.

very much so x___x. It was especially annoying in the days before we could select pages of messages and delete them all at once. I used to have to go through and remove favorites page by page x_o

I'd love for someone who does it to explain why haha x____x. Often these people never talk to me or come back and favorite anything new either though.
