Description
Taken at Australia Zoo behind a glass display. I've forgotten what kind of snake it is. Perhaps someone could inform me?August 2004.

I know that this photo is from 2004 but since no one has named this snake for you i'll jump in and do it. It is most likely the Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis) just going off from the eye colour and the shape/pattern of the scales (and seeing as there is still a EBrown in the snake den nowdays, prob the same guy) Beautiful photo of another of my favourite snakes

I'm not sure what it is, but it sure looks like an awesome snake. In the thumbnail i thought it was a Garder Snake, but then i saw the description saying it was from Australia.

Yeah, I believe it is an Australian species. Maybe a brown snake? But I think it is too small. Copperhead? I'm sure someone here knows.

No way its a copper head... a brown snake sounds more like it. Copperheards have a pointed snout and a really fuckin scary lookin. This little guy looks like a snake that would be awesome the handle.

The key is to put your camera lens right up near the glass, otherwise it may focus on the glass rather than the subject, and the flash may reflect off the glass as well, spoiling the shot.
Thanks for our comment.
