This is for 's contest. This round was weakness.

It took me a while to figure out what Karli's biggest weakness was. She's afraid of many things; heights, the dark, insects... but it dawned on me that those are just fears she has. None of those things affect her on a psychological level. What does, however, is her sister. Since Full Metal Alchemist is all about brotherly love, I wanted to make Karli's relationship with her sibling the polar opposite of that, just to spice things up.

Veronica is older than Karli by a year. While Karli is always referred to as the "cute little sister", Veronica has a much more adult-like appearance. She is blessed with a beautiful voice and look, but somehow fell short in the personality aspect. She knows she's talented and attractive, and uses that to her advantage as much as she can. She also knows that her fortune aggravates Karli, and adores showing off while she's around for that reason.

Though Karli is a bit jealous of her sister's voice and looks (though she'll never admit that to anyone), what really bugs her is that she feels the world picks Veronica over her. When they still lived in Aerugo, Karli had very few friends because whenever someone talked to her, they were most likely trying to use her to get close to Veronica. After years of this occurring, it has developed into one of Karli's greatest fears; that Veronica will always out shine her so much, no one will ever be able to see Karli under her shadow.
