Been watching Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, which got me playing Folklore again, which got me topaint this guy. I'm not far into the game, but these Folks are the scariest I've encountered because
they look creepy as all hell, and I don't seem to have any Folks that can damage them.
For anyone unfamiliar with the game, Folklore was an early PS3 title that put you in the role of a
grieving woman named Ellen and a hard-boiled journalist named Keats. The game sent these
characters to the afterlife/ fairy realms where you use the PS3's sixaxis control to wrestle the Ids out
of strange creatures called "Folks". It has a similar feel to Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away and looks
fantastic for a game released in 2007.

Just started the game, its really pretty cool and a shame that Game Republic went bancrupt and a sequel never saw the light.

For some reason, I thought these guys were kind of cute when they got all angry for waking them up. For the most part, if you keep your distance, they tweet at you angrily and follow you around until they catch up with you and attack, or you leave the area you found them in. They remind me of the afterworld's version of a bear- especially the larger more angry looking one, whose name escapes me right now.

Yeah, these guys were so creepy-cute and non-threatening
that I usually just left them alone. The larger version was
called Barghest, I believe.

Yep... Me too... Except I think somehow I managed to beat a Bug-a-boo by incident. I really don't remember how. I didn't get the Id though. -_-" I felt sorry for it after it faded into sparkly stuff.
Barghest (Or is it Bargest?)! Those things are brutal and scary! I think they really are territorial, considering the corner it backed me into sometimes was near the entrance.

Nice! I remember this game - I was blown away by the demo and bought it, but then I found I got bored of the full game pretty fast so never completed it

Same. It's a slow game, but I like it enough.
The problem for me is that I like playing story-driven games when it's quiet around the house
so I can pay attention, but everyone is so freaking loud at our place it kills the mood completely.

Got this game at x-mas this year (i wanted it) but did not have the time and motivation to start it even.

It's a little slow, but definitely give it a chance. It's a solid PS3 exclusive with great
art direction, and I like it better than other games of its kind.
