[Some random thoughts about Appmon finale. Contains SPOILERS!!!]
"Our Singularity" is the title of Digimon Universe: AppliMonster's final episode. It aired on September 30, 2017.
As the finale, the episode gives a positive answer to the question "What if artificial intelligence surpasses human intellect?" - the overarching theme of the anime. At the beginning of each Appmon episode, Haru Shinkai repeats the statement "In the approaching year of 2014, articial intelligence will surpass the intellect of humanity." And in the anime, different AI's have shaped different reactions to this approaching future. Leviathan, the overarching villain of the series, attempts to "improve" humanity by digitalizing them and taking them under his guardianship/dominance. The buddy appmons of the protagonists, of course, think otherwise.
At first you'd think the AppliDrivers are the representatives of human beings in Appmon, and the appmons personalize AI. Characterization of the buddy appmons and their unique ways to interact with their buddy AppliDrivers are quite the testimony of the friendship between humans and AI.
But then the writers begin to explore the topic much, much further by introducing an android character who passes as a human being by every standard until he reveals himself to be otherwise. The conflicts struggles, and the emotional climax struggles following this plot twist are both heartbreaking and reassuring, as it confirms that AI can also develop a heart and return the love and kindness of a human being if the bond between AI and humanity is treasured and well nurtured.
The epilogue part of the episode depicts a future where humans and AI living peacefully together - which the AppliDrivers and their buddies are already doing. As well as what Leviathan learned at the last moment of his life.
I love all the messages delivered in the final episode. My only complaint is it's a bit too rushed. IMHO Episode 52 deserves two episodes. And the same applies to Episode 51...

Good thing that I remembered to put up a spoiler warning. Actually I typed all the words first and almost clicked "Submit" before I realized I might have given too much of the ending arch away LOL...
Do enjoy the rest of the show It's gonna be intense

I love Appmon a lot (even though I still wish for better
digivolution sequences and better songs. Meh, can't have it
all, I suppose), so I'm looking forward to the end!

Yuujin's pose is intentional Glad you noticed
I also want to rewatch Appmon. And now without the constant urge for knowing "what next?", I think I can now better appreciate every episode in their own right~

Yeah! Maybe what people called "filler episodes" weren't really filler and we can find something in them
