She was up all night preparing. Sneaking away and stealing er... borrowing Miss Bona Dea for a very special Christmas Card, Azzie worked hard to prepare the horses. Unfortunately her plans fell through when one of the horses she'd planned to use in the card decided he didn't want to cooperate. Patiently she adjusted the costume for Red instead and situated everyone. Starting with the ever patient and curiousiy obedient Basilia - whom Azzie could barely keep her fingers off of - and her ring-ting-tingling bells she positioned the spotted mare on Reds left, where the sounds from the brassy-gold ornaments wouldn't startle the half-deaf nordanner every time the wind caught them or Basi shifted.

Dea was the second one positioned and she insisted on dragging the sack of presents out with her rather than letting azzie arrange the props around the trio. Finally Red pranced on the end of her loose lead to her place between the older mares, standing as a bright crimson beacon in the snow against the creamier-brown of Dea and the dark red-white combo of Basilia. Azzie had to admit, after stepping back, that the girls did look good together all trussed up. With a grin and gleeful pride she scurried back to photograph the horses before they could shatter the moment.

At some point Red decided that she was a thief and stole a present from Dea's jealously gaurded sack. Azzie chuckled and snapped the photos quickly pleased with herself. "What, no reindeer antlers?" Alucard called from down the fence line. Red whinnied, dropping her present and tossing her head at him. "No, Alu, that's for something... different." she waved him away and leapt onto Basilias back. "Now then, ladies, shall we go place these lovely wrapped gifts under the christmas tree? I'm sure people will be excited to see them when they walk through the door."

Azzie's Holiday Invite!

You have been cordially invited to a Christmas feast and Midwinter Faire hosted by Broken Arrow Equestrian Center and their sister farm, Oighear Gorm. The festivities begin December 1st and end December 27th with the highlight of the jovial events being on Midwinter day. There'll be Balls, barn-games, treasure hunts, winter-themed mini shows and much, much more!

When you arrive place your wrapped gifts under the christmas tree and - please! no peaking!
