very sketchy style and it STILL took me forever to finish it ;-; I'm really pleased with this though :3 I didn't know if I should color it or not and ended up coloring it xDAzzie is practicing shooting from horseback (she's a decent shot on foot) and things are NOT going well. Armada keeps spooking at the gun and leaping away, causing her aim to fail and her to have to hold the horn. She even wrapped the reins around the saddle to hold him in place but Noooooooo he decided he'd rear against the bit anyway
Azzie and Armada are outlaws for this event BUT you can still talk to me about an RP setting for them if you like lawmen can create chaos for these two and other outlaws can make friends ^_^ Azzie won't care.

it's a western based 'trail ride' competition with an old west style story for outlaws and lawmen hunting a 'murderer' down.

I just went through all the journals, I would have loved to join but can't since I circle ref and trace clothes. :/
Anyways, I'm going to work more on the medieval stuff anyway haha

circle ref like. . . . using the photo to place down the circle skeleton and then go from there? Because that's what I do with sticky strange poses. . . . it makes proportioning easier o-O especially with people.

Yeah that's what I do for the horses to get the proportions right, but I also heavily ref/trace the jousting clothes half the time. HARPG don't like me...like, I've been told off a lot because I admitted I traced sometimes. So now I completely stay away from anything HARPG, and my breed was invited to an HARPG event this morning, (reason why I've been making designs). I admitted I circle ref and trace and they're like, "So?" And...my mind was blown :/ So I guess I'm kick my own ass by entering this event because the other participants are going to say it's unfair and cry fowl.

people blow things waaaay out of proportion. I honestly don't understand why tracing is such a big deal because art classes have tracing tables for people TO do that and actually encourage it to learn proportions and shading and such.
yeah HARPG has kind of gotten crazy about tracing and referencing and such. I'm glad your breed was invited to an event though :3 it'll get them out there and known.

Yeah I try to stay away from HARPG for now, and I'm testing the waters with this event.

Yeah, that's why I made #MHP-ARPG But then HARPG started coming closer to it and I'm like.."Shoo...go on, shoo!" However, I did find another HARPG group that allows all types of horse art, but there is only about 100-300 members, who knows how inactive it is. :/

o-O it's probably fairly inactive. I've noticed people are slow to be active on spin off groups of HARPG. But I could be wrong >.>

They said they liked how I set it up, and three people came and were TOP HARPG people, and were like, "We're the top English, Western, and something else horse people, and we breed and make the top of the top. We were curious if we could join your group, but only with one horse, not the required group/herd of horses, since we wouldn't be using our professional horses for it actively since they're high quality."
And I was like, "so...Jousting and Medieval Event isn't top of the line for you?"
It was a very long tense conversation, with proper politeness of course and no trolling or name calling, all in all I humbled them and defended the honor and Chivalry of Equines--and they haven't been back >.< Probably my bad.
