No, there wasn't any weight gain in the entire arc. The closest we get is the main character stuffing himself, but that's only for gags about how he's able to burn of the weight instantly.
One Piece prefers leggy, big-titted ladies for its fanservice (which this arc still gives us in spades).

Okay. Thanks for letting me know. I really wish Anime would get more diverse with the size and shape of its women. How Heavy are the Dumbbells You Life? did a pretty good job of having women with different figures, including one or two squishy ones. Maybe one day

Oh yeah, even fans of One Piece complain about how all the women have the same body shape. And those that don't are usually completely ridiculous looking or obviously unattractive. The only thing diverse about them is hair color & height. (It's great if you're into amazons & giantesses, though)
Yeah, I think we might see more varied body shapes in anime one day. At least from certain shows.

I think things are looking up in Anime, at least in that respect. I'm still waiting for the day when an Anime will unveil a sexy Plus-Sized woman who is treated as a beauty and never attempts to lose weight or anything like that. Maybe one day

I just about never see giantess in anime period, so seeing it at all is nice. Aside from One Piece, Seven Deadly Sins, & My Hero Academia, I don't know of anywhere else to find it.
There's a manga out there about an elf girl that gets addicted to potatoes and gains weight (forgot the name unfortunately). Maybe that'll get an anime sometime.

Interestingly, apparently the author of MHA is fond of chubbier female characters, which becomes more apparent when comparing the anime to its source, where none of the girls (at least in 1A) have stick-thin model physiques. Allegedly, Ochako's supposed to be particularly plump.

Yeah I've hear that too. It's just a little hard to notice. I always thought Ochako looked more 'average' than she did 'chubby'. I chalk this up to cultural differences, but regardless it's nice to know that the author like plump girls. It's a nice change of pace from the rail think skinny girls you get in most anime.

Same here. I know Totally Spies (which isn't really an Anime) and Flint the Time Detective (though the girl who grew into a giant was a bit young) had some scenes, but other than that, I'm at a loss. Academia had Mountain Lady, right? I really like her, but it bugs me that she can't outgrow her clothing (a scene where a giant, beautiful woman is struggling to cover herself in the middle of a big city is breath-taking for me).
I looked it up, and I think the Manga you're talking about is called Plus-Sized Elf. It does sound pretty cute. I wonder how big she gets off of french fries in that. Thanks for the info

Mt. Lady is definitely a character, but she's mostly relegated to the sidelines between arcs. She hasn't appeared in a while actually. Hopefully she'll get an expanded role, the author plain admitted that she was one of the main characters in the earlier draft of the series.
I know nothing about Plus-Sized Elf other than the concept and that several people I follow find it adorable. Still, glad I could help.

It would be awesome if she started showing up in more central roles. I don't think I've even heard her speak from what I've seen of the show.

Agreed. The author's definitely attached to the character, but he probably doesn't have many ideas for a big story involving her. Supposedly, the reason she was replaced in the final version is that he had difficulty keeping her from being overpowered compared to the main characters and that the psychological issues caused by her powers were too 'dark' for what he wanted to start his manga out with.

Oh, wow. I didn't know all that went into her character. I wonder what kind of backstory she has. All the same, she is gorgeous, and it's always nice to see her.

Most of this info is revealed in tidbits, usually at end of chapter sketches or bonus material in databooks. The only hint to her origin we see is two panels of when she was a kid. Apparently she accidentally grows whenever she's flustered and she intimidated everyone because of that. And she had to go to a rural school, because no city school was willing to risk her, where she helped with farm-work like moving cows.
And sure enough as I start a conversation about Mt. Lady she appears as a major character in this weeks chapter! Strange how things work out eh? She never changes size, but still.

That's pretty cool. I love how they have those little things thrown in the end of Manga chapters. Lots of cool info. Sounds like Mountain Lady had a rough childhood. Poor thing. Now, can she only grow to one size or can she change how she grows as needed?

She only has two sizes: Normal (about 5'7") & Giant (about 150"). There is no in-between and it's pretty inconvenient for her.
