Description A charcoal portrait I've been working on. It's not finished but I wanted to share. This isn't the best quality but I wanted to get it up there regardless... Let me know what you think!

I love how you did the face, the shape is very realistic but at the same time quite unique. The charcoal gives it a nice effect, with a sort of peaceful expression.

Ah, charcoal. Charcoal's a great medium to work with, but it's also a very excruciating medium as well. It freaking smears everywhere! D: It looks pretty nice so far.

Thanks a lot! I've been playing around with charcoal over the last couple of months and trying to improve my skills. I'm going to try to get a good setup to photograph my work instead of shots from my phone. I love the medium though. I'm feeling more traditional right now. There is just something more personal about working with actual media rather than a tablet.Β
