Ok, I know that this is not an original idea. I'm sure many people have done it before. I got the idea from a website. DIYphotography.net is where the idea came from. The websites idea was slightly different. I wanted to try to execute the idea the best I could and this is what I came up with. I am sorry to any other photographer out there that has done this before because this is in no way me trying to steal an idea and pass it off as my own. Well, this shot is the best I got with the tools available to me. Enjoy.Related content

I had to tape wine glasses to a sheet of glass then tape the sheet of glass to a white board. Then I put a box under one side to tilt the board. I added water then the food coloring. I took the shots then had to crop and straighten in photoshop....then I spilled everything on my floor (lol).

I wouldn't have thought of that, I'd have been trying to tilt the liquid and get a shot before it settled or something tardish like that

I taped the wine glasses to a piece of glass from a picture frame. I used a white board under the glass and tilted the board and glass up with a box. I had to tape the glass to the board to prevent it from sliding. I filled the glasses with water then food coloring and then started shooting. I had to crop and straighten to get this photo.

....I did end up with all the colored water on my carpet...I was trying to change things up and then....it all came crashing down. lol.
