I don't prefer flower pictures. However, that said, I think the selective focus and shallow depth of field really make this a strong piece. I do very much enjoy the colors. The forms are pleasing and interesting too. Despite my predispositions, I like this image.

Beautiful photo, what I really like about this is that there is such a wide variety of colours that burst through, not just the colours themselves but also the slow blending that comes with it, blues into greens and oranges into yellows.

maybe unique isn't the word, but i've seen lots of springy flowery shots, but none with a focus and tone like this, none that made me react to them in any other way than a quick grin, this, i fell into, and thoroughly enjoyed seeing! x
