Eating cookies while studying. When I ran out of cookies, I picked the box to throw it away, but the texture of the packaging was so appealing... I took the nearest writing utensil (which was a ballpoint pen as I was studying) and started drawing. I first drew the shape that later became the Knight's shoulder plate. I wanted to draw him on a tired horse, but it just seemed too conventional. I then looked at my hamster Berta, and everything else just followed. Technique: Ballpoint pen on cardboard.
