yeah i hopped on a fairly small bandwagon who's here to stop me

i used this generator: perchance.org/mlpship and basically hit the button until i got each of the mane six!

i think the main appeal of this idea to me is the stories id have to make up in order for these ponies to meet and like each other enough to have a baby, so that will be a majority of this deviation! this is more than i've written for literally anything on deviantart so i hope y'all enjoy it!!

1. twilight sparkle x flash sentry (yes i promise i actually got this. i wish i didn't twi you deserve better)

so, flash and twilight. the two meet in equestria after the events of the first equestria girls movie, and they hit it off a bit. twilight sort of becomes obsessed with the Idea of having a cool strong guard boyfriend who's into music, and flash... fits the bill for the most part. he's supportive and likes his cool princess girlfriend, but is away a LOT because of his royal guard duties, and doesn't make himself emotionally present a whole lot. he's on the staff for the crystal kingdom and not for twilight, after all. they have a kid who they name cinders because of their surprisingly fiery mane. as flash sentry starts to make his way up the ranks, he's around less and less. and that's okay, twilight is fine with that, they never got hitched or anything and she's busy too! ... she just wishes he at least sent some scrolls or checked in on them. when cinders gets their cutie mark in metalworking, specifically armor making, flash starts coming around a little more; he's proud of his kid possibly getting into his field of work. it gives twilight a little hope that he might take action in really raising their kid. but when he leaves again one day, he doesn't come back this time-- twilight and cinders receive a scroll announcing that royal guard sergeant flash sentry has honorably passed in a battle he didn't even tell her he was going to be in. the two are broken up about it, but twilight bitterly thinks his presence with them probably wouldn't have lasted much longer anyways. cinders's perception of him was sort of more Cool Uncle who comes by every once in a while than a super present figure in their life. twilight and cinders still live together in ponyville as they always have. twilight has dated around a bit, but seems to be more content with focusing on raising cinders for now.

cinders is a metalworker who specializes in crafting custom sets of armor. they're confident and spunky, and have a close circle of guard trainee friends. they can be a little rebellious (check out those nose piercings, twilight had a Moment when they came home with those) but very creative, often crafting suits of armor for creatures like changelings and yaks, or ponies who have physical differences, like having only one wing.

2. rainbow dash x moondancer

rainbow dash and moondancer meet in the one place they ever could-- a book club. rainbow dash, after coming to terms with her "eggheadedness" and accepting the fact that badass ponies are allowed to read and enjoy books, starts going to some book club meetings per twilight's suggestion. after rereading the daring do series for the 14th time, she wants to branch out a bit and look for some more action-packed adventure novels. she makes her way to canterlot for a three-day book CONVENTION with twi and the two run into moondancer. after introducing the two, twilight runs off to the nearest history book panel and leaves moondancer and rainbow to chat. they're a little awkward at first-- their personalities clash a little bit, but neither can deny that they're interested in becoming friends. when rainbow dash mentions adventure books and her love for daring do, sparks absolutely fly. it turns out moondancer has also read the series over a dozen times, and is just as passionate about hoof-biting, action-packed literature than she is about scientific or magic literature. when twilight finds her friends again, they're just sitting outside of the panel room... they haven't moved, and are enamored with each others' knowledge of the series. rainbow dash invites moon to try out some sports with her ("oh, i don't think i could..." "c'mon, you love action! don't you wanna be a part of it? it's so amazing when i'm reading and i can imagine myself in her place...") and moondancer has tons of recommendations for more adventure novels ("whoa, you LIVE in a library?! AND YOU HAVE AUTOGRAPHED RARE FIRST EDITIONS!?" "you should visit me sometime, i have tons of exciting books!") pen pals turns to friendship turns to crushes, and the two eventually settle in together in ponyville.

daredevil is their first kid, lovingly named after daring do. she's meek, shy, and cautious, but is a roller derby champion. while in the roller rink, she's massively competitive and brash, but never skips out on donning her mouth guard and 20 various other pieces of body protection.

reading rainbow is their second. she has an intense love for teaching at a surprisingly young age; she was teaching her stuffed animals to read as soon as she could. she's perky, sweet, patient, and sociable, and adores sitting with her moms and chowing down on a good book.

3. applejack x fleetfoot

oh man i had some trouble with this one. this part references an issue of the IDW comic involving fleetfoot-- i've only read the wiki summary, but it's where she gets the most personality and screentime, so i'll put a lil summary here: basically, from my understanding, fleetfoot obtained a head injury during a flight in ponyville that made her temporarily very obsessed with big macintosh. she read everything he did and said as a romantic move towards her and followed him around, but recovered and realized her mistake.
after her recovery, fleetfoot felt awful about basically stalking big macintosh for a day while she was... indisposed. unwell. you get it. big mac assures her he understands, but she still feels bad. so, a few days later, she approaches sweet apple acres with a little gift basket addressed to the family. applejack is the one to greet her, still doing some work in the apple orchards when fleet comes by. she says big mac is off making a delivery and assures fleetfoot the basket will be safe with her. fleetfoot... realizes she may have a type at this point. she's immediately taken aback by how cool and strong applejack is, and a city pony like fleetfoot has always felt a little fascination for the country lifestyle. after going home, admitting her crush to her wonderbolt teammates, and, with a little playful jeering and support from them, eventually goes back and asks aj on a date. the two click with their love for sports and fitness. fleet introduces applejack to the more intricate parts of flight shows and formations, while applejack finds her interest in country sports endearing and shows her around the rodeo. they're a power couple, butch4butch, always pushing each others' limits in a lovingly competitive way they both enjoy and treasure.

their kid flashbang absolutely inherited their love for sports and competition. she's a rodeo pony, specializing in barrel racing and the high jump. she's a little brash, rude, and sure of herself, but it's only cause she's so dang good at what she does.

4. rarity x daring do

these two are an odd pair... i'm not even sure if rarity knows that daring do exists and is "A.K. yearling", so i'm going to do a little canon rewrite or i guess filling in where canon left off?

rarity is preparing for a HUGE exhibition. the most famous canterlot history museum asked for a formal fashion line based on ancient art, and she is working her absolute hardest to make it as accurate to history as possible. she meets with so many consultants about it, puts out fliers for any history buffs to help her out, and spends hours at the library drawing inspiration from ancient art. she does a mini-presentation to the board and a few museum browsers and they love it, but one random observer confronts her afterwards and points out so many continuity issues and mistranslations and inaccuracies in the types of fabrics and... WHO does this pony think she is?! rarity fires right back at this nobody and demands that she provide some sources for her claims! after tailing her around for the rest of the night, she eventually reveals how she knows all this-- she's daring do. like... ACTUALLY the adventurer daring do. rarity is incredulous at first, but with a few sources (rainbow dash's casual confirmation and rarity's shock at Not Being Told This, Somehow [c'mon dude, it was a secret!]) she believes her. rarity is incredibly impressed at her firsthand knowledge of ancient art, script, and architecture, and offers her a paid position to help her Completely redo her entire fashion line. daring accepts, offering to do it without pay to help better educate the masses on ancient art. despite the rocky start to their relationship, they have excellent chemistry when it comes to working together and creating something beautiful: after a few weeks, an entirely new, more accurate line of outfits and dresses is created, and a certain fondness for one another blossoms. they eventually get together after some very straightforward actions from rarity, and happily settle together in ponyville.

lapis is their firstborn. he's a braggadocios, beautiful jewelry model who has a bit of an ego issue. his intense self-confidence and loudness definitely come from a place of insecurity, though; he feels like his younger sister is always in the spotlight because of her more dangerous hobbies.

crypt crawl is their second kid. she's an explorer like daring do, but is much more interested in the actual mapping process than the discovery and reclamation of ancient artifacts. crypt is sarcastic, independent, and a big source of stress for her moms because of her tendency to wander off.

5. pinkie pie x trixie lulamoon

pinkie and trixie are The Fun Couple. they sort of got to know each other better after trixie's "reformation", aka her friendship with starlight. they both enjoy pranks and putting on shows to make people happy, so pinkie was... at least a little interested in being friends with her, even back when she was pretty mean. like, she does things like pull cute bunnies out of hats and make herself disappear with practical effects, that's awesome!! so after trixie comes back to ponyville for the umpteenth time and starts showing some change for the better, pinkie starts hanging around her a bit. they obviously find a mutual interest in pranks and magic shows, and pinkie finds a lot of joy in being trixie's Lovely And Beautiful Assistant for some of her stage shows in ponyville. pinkie and trixie have such a great time performing together that trixie invites her to go along for a tour across some of equestria. being in that proximity with each other for so long, especially sharing a sleeping quarters, can cause two ponies to get very close. they end up sharing a lot about themselves with one another and their own pasts, and eventually their super secret (read: very obvious to everyone but each other) feelings for one another. they come back to ponyville calling themselves trixpie and being very loud and obnoxious about their new relationship. but also... it's super sweet? they obviously confide a lot in each other and love each other so much that everyone can't help but support them and tolerate their obvious bragging on each other and intense amount of PDA. trixie has also sort of settled in ponyville with pinkie instead of being a wanderer.

they end up having one kid named parlor trick lula-pie, aka polly. instead of practical tricks like trixie, they specialize in real transmutation and thaumaturgy, basically meaning "real magic". a lot of ponies assume it's fake because of the way it's presented like classic magic tricks. polly is the polar opposite of their moms; they're very deadpan, aloof, and "classic pie", as pinkie puts it.

6. fluttershy x rolling thunder

so this definitely started when fluttershy watched the washouts flight show and saw that big tall strong butch and she just... captured her heart. she's so weak for a cool butch lady. fluttershy is worried about how rolling thunder is treating her body, though, it seems like she has no real regard for any injuries she gets during her stunts and that makes her uneasy! so she approaches rolling thunder after her show and asks how she's doing. like How She's Doing... and rolling has never had anyone ask her something like that after a show; it's always been "wow that was so awesome!" or "sign my poster!", never "i hope you're doing okay". her kindness touches her in a softer place she pretends like she doesn't have, and the two exchange contact info after a little heart-to-heart. because the washouts are always on the road, they don't see each other very often, but they send letters back and forth for a while. it's mostly fluttershy making sure she's taking better care of herself and her injuries after her shows, and rolling thunder begrudgingly doing so, and getting to know more about fluttershy's really weird life and best friendship with a chaos demon. eventually rolling sees one of her teammates meet an unfortunate demise in one of their more dangerous performances, and it makes her realize she doesn't want fluttershy to see that happen to her. rolling retires early and moves to ponyville, where the two finally confess their mutual feelings for one another, and rolling thunder moves in to fluttershy's cottage.

they have twins: sugar glider and huff puff. they're almost mini-me's for fluttershy and rolling thunder. sugar is an outgoing sweetheart who has a great interest in the more surgical side of the veterinary business, while huff puff is a hotheaded toughie who pretends to love danger, but really she loves complex, planned flight formations and adores the sleek and classy wonderbolts. they're basically attached at the hip and often call each other their "other half".
