That's disgusting. I wish something could be done about that, especially teachers being so mean. I've often gotten into trouble for finishing things too fast. It's not my fault when I work efficiently and well. And then I'm told off for rushing. I had a job at a dairy once. The woman who owned it was a complete battleaxe. Each evening me and another guy had to clean the milk tanks. We got on with it fast and well but when I went to see her afterwards so she could drop me home, she would have a go at me and say that I was too eager to leave and go do other stuff. That was wrong, the other guy told me I could leave because the tanks were clean!
I wish I could move tomorrow too. It's so frustrating but we're getting on with everything as best we can and my boyfriend and I helping out is really doing a great job. We wouldn't have gotten the living room redecorated half as fast if it wasn't for us. We painted the ceiling ourselves and all the woodwork. Then Dad joined us for the walls. I'm just desperate to leave. That sucks you'll be alone. Do you have any friends you could invite over to keep you company or help? Yes I hope you get a better house too! I'm sure we both will one day!

UGH, sounds like that was one mean boss! I've had a few like that myself. It's really infuriating when you follow instructions and someone goes off on you like that. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It's really quite detestable that people -- especially those in charge -- should be allowed to treat others that way and get away with it.
Well, at least you're making progress! Home repairs are always frustrating and time consuming, but in the end it will be worth it. I'm sure your dad appreciates the help! Unfortunately no, I don't have any friends in the area I could ask to come help me; I'm one of those unlucky ones who always ends up meeting people who live at least 2-3+ hours away or in other countries but never locally... LOL! XP My mom lives nearby but she's in worse shape than I am right now and has the same/similar limitations so I couldn't ask her either. The only thing I can ask for is for my dad to come unbury me when it snows since I can't really handle pushing a snowblower very well and I can't shovel at all, but this year I might not even be able to wait for that; my dad will only come by to help when it's convenient for him which can be anywhere from a day to a few days later and if I manage to get my shop open (hopefully soon!) I won't be able to wait that long to get out of my driveway. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do... I can't afford to pay a service $50 a pop to dig me out but I can't do it myself either, so what choice do I have? UGH, this is going to be a nightmare. XD

Luckily I've had more nice bosses than mean ones. There are SO many people in charge who treat others like that though, it's disgraceful. My Dad is a hard worker but gets no respect, nor the payrise they said they would give him and don't even get me started on where my b/f works. They run things terribly at his work.
Yes and now I'm back from Spain, I will have to get on with that glossing I started before I left! It won't take long so long as no one touches the wet paint lol! Oh dear, I hope you don't get buried by snow this winter. I've never been buried by snow but my friend in the next town has. When we move, it will be inland so more snow and more chance of burial!! When I was at school, lots of the kids from the country areas wouldn't be able to make it some days and we would have snow days! Or the boiler would break down and they couldn't heat the school so we'd get the day off Oh man
I like snow but if I was in your situation I sure wouldn't! I really hope it won't be too bad.

Yeah, that really sucks. I really hope your dad eventually gets the respect he deserves. That always seems to be the way of it though; the harder you work and the better you do the more crap you get for it. XD That's the way it's always been for me, and is certainly how it is for my hubby... He's the hardest worker on the base but gets NO respect for it. Just crap. It shouldn't be that way.
Yeah, it's not fun when you get buried in snow! It's a lot of work even for a physically healthy person to dig yourself out, but for me it's nearly impossible. XD And yay for snow days! I always loved those as a kid, LOL!

I do too. He's so good at his job and the guy he trained got employee of the year for several years running because of how well my Dad trained him! Yeah the hardest workers and kindest people are always treated the worst it seems. Very sad.
I'll probably never know what it's like to get buried in snow, unless I go somewhere snowy for the winter lol! I don't think I want to experience it though lol! Snow days are awesome!

Wow, employee of the year is pretty good! Your dad certainly trained him well then! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves one day.
Yeah, trust me, you're not missing anything; I could certainly live without so much snow LOL! I keep telling my hubby I was born in Florida and my body's failures are its way of telling me it wants to go back! LOL! Give me the sun and sand any day. I can live without snow! XP

Yes! And so do I.
Give me sun but I hate living by the sea. I wouldn't care if I never saw it again. It's all I've known. I wish to be inland now.

Aaaw... Well I suppose if living by the sea is all you've ever known I can understand why you'd want a change of scenery (I know you hate seagulls LOL XP). I've always longed to be by some sort of water though, whether ocean, lake, river, or what-have-you; it's in my blood, LOL! I just never get tired of the water and I LOVE to swim, so for me it'd be a dream come true to finally get that waterfront property I've always dreamed of.

I hope you can get it! I know a lot of people love water. I wouldn't mind living by a stream in a forest. That would be nice and peaceful. Just no large bodies of seagull infested ocean lol!

LOLOL!!! XD It's funny to me to think of how much you hate seagulls when I love them so much, but I'm sure if you have to deal with them every day it's much different. We have them here too even though we live inland; we live near the Hudson river and they like to hang out at our WalMart... LOL! For me, seagulls were always cute and I always got a kick out of throwing bread or French fries (you call them chips I believe) to them and watching them bicker over the scraps... Heh! But I'm sure that gets old after a while and your IG post describing the smell and feces was certainly not pleasant so I can see why you'd have a different view of them LOL! XD I wouldn't mind living on a lake if not the ocean! I love the trees and forests too, so I could get the best of both worlds that way.

Seagulls are fine so long as they aren't nesting on my roof. In fact as a kid I loved them, before I realised what a nuisance they are. Also this past summer we have had trouble here with people feeding them, especially in Cornwall. The birds are getting vicious and have attacked and killed small dogs and even someone's pet tortoise. They also kill pigeons. I just wish that tourists wouldn't come to the harbor and feed them because it's cute to have wild animals come up to you for food. It is cute but not when the animal is vicious and dangerous. The amount of little kids they scare snatching food from their hands. They will injure someone's kid one day, seriously. They are big birds and they have little to no fear of anything. They have nearly no natural predators either except birds of prey and those don't live near the sea. I guess when I move away from the sea I will see them differently because they won't be bothering me. Right now though every spring I get so stressed having to scare the stupid things off the roof ALL the time, having them wake me up and goodness knows what hour in the morning with their incessent screaming, crapping on the skylight as well. Deterrants don't work that well with them either because they are determined. And you're not allowed to shoot them because like all birds in this country they are protected. Which is funny since pigeons and badgers, two protected species, are allowed to be culled. You aren't even allowed to remove the eggs, well, there are always things hinted at by authorities that you can if no one is looking. I find it incredibly frustrating that we can't even control their numbers since they live for like 20 years and have a mortality rate of only 5%. However they have been talking about making killing them legal or at least culling them where they are worst. I hate the idea of killing animals but when they are a real threat to people their numbers need to be lessened. Then again there is the argument of people feeding them. I think they should fine people who feed them. I can't wait to move so I won't have to think or stress about them anymore. I dread every spring coming. Right now it's quiet. They quieten down and seem to fly off to the cliffs or something when it gets to the end of the summer. So at least we have nice quiet winters!

Yeah, I know my hubby has told me terrible stories of the scuas they have down in Antarctica (I guess they're like brown seagulls); those monsters literally attack them to steal their food if they're foolish enough not to cover and protect it. I'm sure seagulls are just as bad. XD I guess they're one of those "nice from a distance" critters, LOL!
