I have a game called Game & Watch Gallery 4 (I had it once then I lost it but I bought another copy). I thought about this amoung several other comic ideas at work so here it is.If anyone doesn't get the joke or doesn't understand the comic completely, I'll gladly explain it to you.
The way I see it, the Toads had only two options, either burn to death or get blown to bits. Personally I'd choose blown to bits. (Faster way of dying)

See this is from a GBA game called Game and Watch Gallery 4. The name of this game is called fire, and this is how it goes. There is a castle on fire and Mario and Luigi have to bounce the people who jump out the window into a carrage. Occassionally a bob-bomb will fall out the window and if it lands in the carrage... well the comic pretty much illustrates how that turns out. Do you get it now?
