Description
An excuse I hear so that parents don't have to punish their child, guess what? They're not "just kids", they still need to fucking learn. And yes, I see kids do shit and go unpunished, examples are fucking up walls, taking an N64 cartridge out while I was playing a game and a kid at a FUCKING LIBRARY fuck up a keyboard and go unpunished, a fuckin' library. And "they're just kids" you say? No, they still need to learn discipline, no matter the age. If I have a child, I will make sure to discipline him/her, and before thinking "corporal punishment", no, I will teach the child that it is wrong, and that the child would fail in life if the child keeps fucking up so yeah, fuck you for being lazy parents and fuck you for defending the children's actions.

Some kids act more like adults then their own fucking parents some times. So I hate this excuse even more.

Oh yes, because drawing blood from a defenseless child that hasn't learned it was wrong is how you raise a child the "Good" way.

Simply hitting a " innocent child " isn't going to draw blood.
some children stab adults to death.
And yes you don't always have to hit them but you have to sometimes.
oh god that comment is old whoops.

I never had discipline as a child. Once I scribbled on the television with green paint. And my parents just told me it was a "No-no" and told me not to commit "No-Noes". Simple as that. I learned and behaved then on out so I wouldn't be told I had done something bad

Yep last time I heard that from my friend's mother, her 16 year old daughter got pregnant, had a child, never finished collage, dropped out, they broke up, she got married with another man, had sex again, irresponsible marriage, had a child, somehow broke the kid's leg and ribs!?! (IDK HOW?) divorse, new boyfriend, sex again, became lesbian, broke up, now another boyfriend! Now is pregnant again!
TRUE STORY!
It's about my best friend's step sister ._.
And yes she did break the kid's leg and ribs, by "changing his diapers" don't believe it at all.
This is why I think discipline is important, and discipline and abuse are totally different!

Discipline is important, and there's clearly been a lack of it in today's youth. I mean, look at the kids at my afterschool. Frickin INSANE. I don't go to the pool with the afterschool at all anymore because those little demons will run around naked and not get in trouble for it. It's disappointing on so many different levels, and irritating on so many more. I fear for the future of our society, which is already going to crap.

Yes! Parents should never fear that discipline will give kids nightmares, no matter how scary it may seem to the kids themselves! Kids need to be scared ASAP in order to be hated less when they get older!

Daebelly In reply to SaraHouck [2015-07-22 15:54:42 +0000 UTC]
And to add to that, fear has been proven to help keep you alive in dangerous situations. Parents should teach that to their children, because someday it may help them survive.

even though it does seem like it. The brats need to learn. But before that, make sure the parents learn HOW to discipline a child (and makes sure they know the difference between discipline and abuse shudders.)

It's really a damn shame. The worst part is the fact that when people retaliate from the kids behavior, their parents pop up as shields and jump to conclusions instead of seeing from both sides first. =_= It's pretty sad.

It always annoyed me when I was little and an even littler kid would always break my stuff, and the parents just said something like "he's only three, he doesn't know any better"
In that case, the problem isn't the kid, it's the parents.Β If those kids don't know any better, then obviously their parents aren't doing their job.
