At first I thought they were cigarettes but now I see that it's an industrial plant. Nice shot, congrats on the DD. The fact the the one in the middle is the one letting off exhaust really adds to the balance.

while people keep comparing this with [link] , I feel that they're different enough to get their own DD's. The first one is very athmospherical with all the smokes, and you can still see the tiny bits of details on the top of the chimney, so you know right away that it's a photograph- But this one is very minimalistic. There's nothing at all on the chimney, making them look like 3 simple white bars arranged in such a nice geometrical way. And even the smokes are very simple, they could look like a light casted on the wall or something. Heck, at first I thought they're paper rolls, and others thought it's cigarette. That's enough to give this a quality to differ it to the other kinds of this shot.

Something else to note: The DD above was submitted in October of 2010, whereas this was submitted in February 2010.

I suggested that photograph for a DD before I took a break from dA - around September 2010. I fail to see why it matters to you, but since it does, I thought I'd clarify this. I have not suggested anything since September.

I felt it was worth mentioning because it's interesting to see two DD so similar within a relatively short time. Just a little more than a month.
I mentioned the dates that the two deviations were submitted (not suggested) in the event that someone would get all up in arms about plagiarism,

Seriously, the composition is different, the aim of the photo is different, the technique is different, even the time of day was completely different. 
As to finding it interesting that two DDs within a month both contain chimneys and skies... I suppose now your interest is sated by knowing that in fact, them being featured so close together is a coincidence, since they were actually suggested in reverse order and with over half a year between them.
