Hey, thanks for stopping by!
This sketchbook was tiny, about A6 with only 40 sheets which made it easy and quick to fill. I hated the paper at first because it was smooth (I normally use more textured paper so it felt like drawing on slippery ice for a while xD). My hand thanked the sketchbook for being so tiny by hurting a lot, that wasn't the best thing. But the size had an important advantage of not leaving room for very detailed and big drawings. It forced me to do more design and concept stuff instead of doing coloured sketches of the same designs all the time. I recommend getting a small sketchbook if you struggle with the need to do finished and polished drawings on every page and want to change that, it kicks you straight out of your comfortzone...
Sooo, I did lots of design stuff for my characters, the two people you see on half of the collage named Nema and Iris (spoiler: they changed so much again... who would've guessed xD) They belong to a story I'm working on (and hopefully post some stuff of once in a while). The setting switched from a school/uni to nature and the wildlife (and it is so much fun to do research about rivers and fish! Makes me feel nostalgic since I owned a catfish as a child <3). I finally understood why I couldn't design proper clothing and always struggled with finding the right one. In my case I needed to apply shape language to the outfit designs and things fell in place automatically.
Thank you for reading the description and regarding my collage.
I'd love to hear what you think about it in the comments
Have a nice day!
