I'm in love with this one. Seriously. I'm DEFINITELY keeping this in my region!

This is Shanerl, a legendary evolution of Clamperl! It's for 's contest, and I'm definitely shading it later!

Here's a little backstory as to how Shanerl came to be-

Long ago, before humans existed, there were very few Clamperl in the sea. When they were first created by Arceus, they had no shells. They were easy prey to many predator undersea pokemon, and were nearly hunted to extinction. The remaining Clamperl fled into the deep crevices of the ocean. However, one brave Clamperl stayed on the surface, who vowed to fight off any pokemon who tried to kill or eat it. It didn't believe that running away was the answer.

Unfotunately, it still was, after all, a Clamperl. It didn't have enough strength to fight off every attacker. Shortly after all the other clamperl left, it was defeated easily by a single Sharpedo. The Clamperl looked up into the Sharpedo's jaws and knew- it was going to die.

Suddenly, a surge of strength filled the Clamperl! It shot out from under the Sharpedo's jaws with tremendous speed, made a sharp 180 degree turn, and rammed into the Sharpedo, instantly knocking it out. The Clamperl was astounded. And the power stayed! It wondered for days where its newfound strength had come from...

Nearby, Kyogre watched the Clamperl, now beating away enemies with ease. After a few more minutes, it left, knowing it had just done something either extremely good or horrendously bad.

Over the course of a few more centuries, the Clamperl who had fled grew shells, and were eventually able to return to the part of the ocean where they previously lived, much tougher than before. The one Clamperl who had stayed above however, had evolved far past them, into an enormous creature capable of defeating almost any other pokemon in the ocean. Many centuries after humans came into existence, rumors of a giant, beautiful pokemon that guarded the Clamperl eventually started to circulate. After the confirmation of its existence, scientists eventually named it "Shanerl." It remains the guardian of the Clamperl to this day.

(Oh, and just for reference, it's over 60 feet tall.)
