Description
As some people gave helpful critique, I changed the attack helicopter ( [link] )a bit. Here a preview. A better render will come later.changed:
-proportions of the body/rotor
-removed Notar and changed the tail
-added turret on the back (I know I know...)
-bend the rotor blades a bit
-added some more details
-bigger engine nacelles and added a bigger exhaust housing
- shortened the barrel of the main gun

I also say keep the intakes the way they are. I see them just fine myself. Like the changes, a rear turret to cover its six o'clock is genius. Thats always been a nasty blind spot on a helo. Um, got enough flare launchers, heat seekers are never gonna figure out where that drone is flying Overall, excellent job, I can't wait to see the final render. just a silly question, but landing gear? is there any or does it land on a special mount?
There's never Too many weapons that you can put on a vehicle, its trying to find enough targets that's hard to do...

Duh. The landing gear question...Thought about that one before.

.Haven't come up with a nice idea, so I'd say it's retractable. Or nuclearpowered, so there is no need to land. never...ever. Hrrrg. A special mount is nice idea really. BUt then it wouldn't be very versatile when it comes to landing spots...So I'd go for retractable. You're totally right about the amount of weapons...

i think, you may be over thinking the problem... its a helo, all it needs at a minimum are 2-3 skids to contact the ground...a pole with a bent end...and you have 3 telescopic landing gear which all but disappear when retracted just the tips of the skids... two up front and one behind the rear turret...

I'd say keep the nacelles the way they are right now. Good change. Nice job on the tail as well. It's more logical to have a symmetrical tail when you have a dual rotor.

I should persuade the airline I work for to buy a few of these suckers. They would definitely help us to deal with the competition, hahaha

Looks like he's got enough firepower to take down a city block!
Beautifully modeled, Thomas!
Shape-wise, engines and tail section are some of my favorite bits.

Thanksies. Level a whole block was my intention. I really like the engines as well. Like the retro thing. Hit it only by luck I'd say...

looking really cool!
i have another suggestion if i might tell ya
its about the engine intakes and the exaust housing. right now its a bit difficult to spot the functional parts when the whole helicopter is covered with details. so i was wondering if you could seperate these parts with giving em a different material? some matte and evil black? maybe?
its just that its hard to determine which part is which and when i look at helicopters of the present or past the engine is very aesy to spot. just a thought

Suggestions are always welcome! very welcome indeed! Will use some more colors in the render. Quite a good idea. Was thinking that the whole engine part beneath the rotorblades could be a tad bigger, but a different color might do the bit. Thanks
