PERSONALITY
INFP-Assertive ~ Neutral Good
Optimistic | Trusting | Sensitive | Vivacious | Resilient | Adventurous | Private
Creative | Nurturing
Sheltered since birth, Ori is only naturally a hopeless optimist, observing the world through rose-colored glasses. Even after the great divide suffered by the United Pack, her hopes are a ship not easily battered on wild seas. If anything it has only made her cling to optimism, almost bordering on denial as her weary heart desperately grasps for the smallest bits of tranquility in a time where tensions hang like a fog among the pack. However, she is no longer lost to obliviousness as prior to the schism, the massacre of Svajone and his men having served to violently awaken her from a blissful slumber of ignorance; and though the looming threat of war is a tough pill to swallow, she now looks to acknowledge truth where she sees it.
Orianthi is by no means a pugnacious type, with enough patience to endure to the last thread. She seeks harmony, going to great lengths to avoid confrontations of any kind. It is an exhaustive thing, and she becomes drained easily when faced with discord. Nevertheless, meek as she is, there lies a ferocity within to protect her home and those who share the Tündes name, dormant but not dead. For now though, she remains a sensitive soul, seared by even a sharp word.
Still in the tumultuous season of youth, she is bright and effervescent. Her energy is boundless, as is her resilience towards life. She takes everything in stride, holding firmly in the belief that there is good to be found in everything, and at the least that a small good is worth all the bad. It is out of these convictions that her purposeful character sprouts. She wears her heart on her sleeve, ardent in her values and unafraid to blaze her own path or say the unsaid.
Ruled by her curiosity, it has led her on many an adventure. Having lived in a bubble most of her life, she takes a fascination to everything in this new, much larger world. It is not without its anxieties, but she is a free spirit, more daunted by the idea of complacency than the unknown. Physical expeditions are, in particular, what she thirsts for. For knowledge was always within reach, if not fed to her on a silver platter. Experience, however, was a whole other matter.
A bold and articulate being, it is easy for one to get the idea that she is a more reserved extrovert, but she tires quickly of company, often breaking away to be on her own. She enjoys taking lone strolls, where the quiet voice of her thoughts is not so easily drowned out by that of others’. Her need for space has made it difficult for others to get to know her. Her mind is an elusive one to those who seek her thoughts, adding a high possibility of being misunderstood since she leaves it to others to interpret her motives.
Out of innocence she is fearless, not quite understanding all that lurks in the unknown. Her dauntlessness is forged on the basis of trust; familiarity. Now, as the Tündes and Kol fight a cold war, she finds herself weighted with anxiety and dread, suddenly faced with uncertainties and seemingly nowhere to turn to.
At the end of the day, Ori lives for others. She is an altruistic character, dedicated to the responsibility of her pack. At times nearing workaholic status, it is not that she forgets to care for herself so much as it is that she simply puts her desires aside in order to help others achieve their own wants and needs.
HISTORY
Orianthi was born to a loving, albeit very guarded home. The culmination of a long struggle to bear pups, and being without siblings, she was the apple of their eyes, doted on and carefully tended to. It was as if her parents felt her survival was too good to be true. That one day they might awake to find her pulled from their grasp, nothing more than a dream. And so they held her firmly to themselves, determined to shield her from all danger. They gave her everything her little heart needed to be content; anything that might hold the wandering eye of a pup from the world that lay before them. But like any youth, sometimes the temptation of indulging their curiosity overcomes the desire to please their superiors and obey the rules set out for them. So it was that one night Orianthi slipped away, out of her mother’s embrace and into the night. The world was so different under a starlit sky than it was under a glaring sun. It was dark, beautiful, alluring; and so not where a pup ought to be by themselves. But Ori wouldn’t figure that out for herself until she happened upon the stranger. Where they had come from, she never knew. At her age, she had yet to be introduced to most of her packmates, but there was still something dark about them that lingered in the air; and it was not the beautiful kind. A lunge from the wolf and uneasiness swiftly became fright, sending Orianthi careening back to the safety of her home. Once back to the familiarity of the den, she soon returned to sleep, giving no second thought to the clutches she had just evaded. At home, she was protected. There was no need for concern, until it was right on their doorstep. For little had the pup known that by fleeing to her home, she would lead the stranger right to her sanctuary. When suddenly that forcefield of protection around the den was proven false, faith shattered in the worst way. The memories of that night are vague, being so close to her beginnings, but the eyes remain. Burning ones, of fire and blood. Her mother fought valiantly, but she was no match for the savagery of her opponent, and fell to their claws. Ori was slated to follow, snatched up in its bloodied maw, when her father arrived just in time to fight the wolf off. The stranger disappeared into the darkness as swiftly and mysteriously as they had appeared, neither their identity nor their motive ever being uncovered. It was a freak incident, but it was enough to leave a lasting impact on her father. As guarded as she had already been, the pup was now held in a vice-like grip, her father fearing that the wolf might return to finish what they had begun. He never learned of his daughter’s venture that night. To him it was an act of total randomness, with his family happening to get the short end of the stick. And that unpredictability only made him all the more wary. But Ori knew the truth of all that had transpired that fateful night. Though she was still too young to grasp the weight of what had occurred, it would cross her thoughts every now and then— if she was to blame for her mother’s death. From then on, life only became more restricted for the youth, and for the time being, she was happy to oblige. But time heals many wounds, and as the seasons eroded most memories, she quickly regained her appetite for adventure. She would regrow. However, the same could not be said of her father. The memories were not so faint with him. Ori was now all he held, and he was desperate not to lose her, so he brought her up under great care and a watchful eye. As a result of her sheltered upbringing, Orianthi grew up oblivious and naive, pup-like in innocence where others matured. So when Malaysia began amassing followers, Ori was very much unaware. Her father, on the other hand, was on edge. The younger she-wolf had come to his attention after approaching the previous alpha, Khonsu, and telling him of her ability to communicate with spirits. An odd declaration indeed, but like many, he had paid her little mind. However, living outside of the world of pack royalty, where one’s attention is easily drawn to bigger matters, he had the advantage of seeing the she-wolf’s authority begin to take root. He thought it in the pack’s better interest to suggest to his alpha that an eye ought to be kept on the she-wolf; only to find himself in the same position as her, his words having little sway. Osirus was going through a personal time of grievance with the loss of his mate by his own brother’s paws. This was no time to entertain the suspicions of one wolf. At one point in his frustrations he considered joining Malaysia’s cause, for at least she appeared to listen to her cult. Alas though, he stood firmly by the principles of the pack to embrace their ways.
That day began as any other: Orianthi heading out to explore in her father’s absence. Along the way, her focus had diverted to following the trail of a butterfly, until by the time it had strayed too far from her vision and she realized she had gone much deeper than she had intended and stayed out for longer than she had planned. Worried her father might be looking for her, she readily made her way back to the dens— only to be met with the chaos of Malaysia’s uprising. Most of the bloodshed was on the beach, something Ori would discover after seeking out the source of the pandemonium that had unleashed, as well as the cries of anguish from the strange creatures that had arrived there. Confusion quickly set in as she tried to make sense of all that was happening around her, overwhelmed and disturbed by the vicious nature she witnessed of many of her former packmates. She searched for her father, hoping he might have the answers; but she would not find him alive. Instead he lay broken and bloodied on the beach, the result of having stood against Malaysia and her raving followers. Once the dust had settled, the divide was clearer. Two packs in place of the one. It was only then that she realized how oblivious she truly had been. That a crack had begun in her pack, and grown into a canyon; all the while, she was none the wiser, too lost in her own head. She vowed to do better. Not only for herself, but her pack first and foremost. They had deserved better. Where had she been at the start of the end? Her presence likely wouldn’t have changed the outcome, but if she could learn anything from the red queen, it was that one wolf could turn the world upside down. With so sudden a change, there was only uncertainty moving forward. But whatever she decided to do, Ori knew she could no longer sit and watch from the sidelines. That was a privilege one could no longer afford. So she would head to the opposite side. If she wasn’t going to stay at a distance, she would stand in the eye of the storm.

Well she certainly has the patience to erode his prejudices, if given the chance. Would probably be hurt over his behavior towards her than angry, and see it as a challenge to worm her way into his good graces. But we shall see
