I do not own this character, or the line-art in any way. This person does: All credit goes to her. I just colored it.I might take it down in the future...not totally sure. What do you guys think?

I like the colour combination. I''m not familiar with using GIMP at all, but I think over all it looks good. Once you get into using shadows and highlights I'm sure you'll do even more awesome. ^___^
