A lil’ story!!
(Word count: 219)
The air was warm,birds tweeting as Aria and Evangeline headed down to the bay with their horses. Aria grinned,seeing how cool the water looked. She quickly dismounted Pepper,and ran into the water,shuddering slightly as the water lapped up around her.
She stood waist-deep in the sea,she couldn’t believe how beautiful this place was! She felt extremely lucky to be competing in the FAAF show,she felt it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. She kept an eye on her horse,who seemed to be taking great delight in checking out all the plastic flamingos that were dotted along the beach,occasionally trying to nudge them over.
She sighed happily,flopping onto her back and staring up at the blue sky,trying to appreciate the scenery whilst it lasted. But it didn’t last long. Her daydreaming was interrupted by Evangeline breaking down into fits of laughter,Aria looked up to see Pepper trying to imitate one of the flamingos! She had her front leg lifted up and bent,and had her head facing down like a beak. After a few moments of holding that pose,she began to jump about excitedly,accidentally knocking the flamingo over.
Aria laughed,and waded out of the water and over to Pepper,where she planted a small kiss on her muzzle,before standing the flamingo back up. “Careful! Little miss trouble!” She chuckled,shaking her head and heading back to the water. Eventually,she started to get a bit cold,and headed back on to the beach to dry off.
Once dry,she hopped back onto Pepper and set off trotting along the shore,passing a few other riders and their horses. Aria smiled,excited for the next class.
