For english class~This is the first page of my 'creative progress' for my english class, i'm technically rewriting and illustrating a scene from the book 'Kite Runner' as short 8+ page comic.
It will be from Hassan's point of view
ummm. Also, Spoilers will probably ensue, so if you're reading the book/plan on reading it, don't look ]:
and, i really am not going to explain what's going on...because i'm encouraging others to read the book (it's amazing) furthermore, i'm not going to mature this seeing as if you haven't read the book, you have no idea what's going on anyway (at least, i hope so)
this is so ugly when it's printed out D: bah. i didn't spend a lot of time on coloring shading it, it'll probably all be in monochromes with the exception of a few spurts of color to emphasize a topic or object
this page in itself probably took a little under an hour in photoshop (because of technical difficulties, bah)
The Kite Runner belongs to it's author, Khaled Hosseini (sp?)
I better get a friggen A on this.
(is this in the right category?)

to be honest, i could care less whether he appears as described n the book or not, or if there are some details i didn't get into...justneedagoodgrade.

you have no friggin' idea how much this part in the book pissed me off. seriously, I felt like smacking Amir. >_<

OMG I just have to read this book for my Literature II class!!! Could I show them the comic??? Because all the class is complaining and saying it's boring... XD I'm one of them but with this, I'm more interested n_n

the book was indeed awesome.

They didn't really describe how the characters looked, other than the Hazarans had a chinese looking face and Hassan had a cleft lip.
I imagine Amir with slightly shaggy, longish hair and Hassan with a boy cut, his hair falling into his eyes.
This is beautiful, I hope you do get an A. :]

Well, I was trying to do this from Hassan's point of view...
Hassan thinks he is selfish because he wants to bring Amir the kite for his own needs..like, I guess to gain acceptance from Amir or something like that
I can't exactly remember the details, I did this quite awhile ago xD;

This is quite lovely. I read The Kite Runner not too long ago and absolutely adored it! Khaled's second book, A Thousand Splendid Suns, is just as great. If you haven't read it yet, you should definitely do so

Wow, you've worked real hard on this. It looks great and your effort is obvious; I'm sure Northup'll give you a good grade.
I love how you gave color to the kite to emphasize it in the first panel. And Hassan's expression is really well-done. His eyes (or, well, eye) have sort of an empty look to them, but there's still emotion in there too. Er, I think I just contradicted myself there, but really, it looks good! XD

i'm tempted to get on my hands and knees and beg her to extend the deadline..it took like..all day to do two pages..(with technical difficulties and distractions)
and thank yoouuuu i modified his face a lot between the sketch and final page, i'm glad it came out nice <3

I have no intention of reading this book, but I almost want to, just so I know what'll be going on in your comic. I love how expressive his face is, all the scratches and what-not and the flowy quality of his hair.
