I asked her what she wanted and she said a KidMa kiss surrounded by madness...so here it is!

Love this love them love you, and that is a summary of life.
Nice job on this kiss- I know how frustrating lip lockage can be, but I like how you tilted their heads and gave depth to the jaw. It really looks nice. Also, the pose and expressions look pretty dang awesome, and passionate. Definately good.
My only criticism though is that you missed a lot of the details in character design, like Maka's buttons and Kid's suit patches.
Overall though, great job! ^^ Keep up the good work (and the KidMa)!

I agree...drawing kissing is difficult O.O
And yeah...I drew this at 8AM kinda quickly...I also didn't shade like I usually do haha

I find the most difficult part of kisses to be to convey emotion. Ugh- I feel like all of my kisses look generally the same, and that bothers me. I want some kisses to be passionate and others light, but I just seem to draw the same thing again and again. Meh. I really like how in this drawing, you conveyed emotion. (I am totes jelly.)

Definitely. I struggle a lot with conveying emotion and making things look natural in my poses. Unless I really work hard to make something dynamic, it looks like they're posing for a magazine photo. Which is fine, except that lately I've wanted to diversify my art in that sense. It's a challenge for me. 4
Also, I avoid drawing kissing like the plague, so when I got this request I was just like 'OH NO I CAN'T'
As someone who struggles with conveying emotion and drawing dynamic poses (and drawing profile views ugh) I was nervous to take it on.
I'm glad you think I succeeded in showing the passion here, since I worked for that

I think that it's really great that you're taking that sort of step with your art. You're doing a great job of branching out, and that's really cool. I know the feeling of not thinking oneself can produce expressive artwork... a lot of the time, I feel like my art shares the same fluffy feel. I'm complete rubbish with unpleasant emotions, so I wish I was able to challenge myself with that like you're doing now. Lol.
Haha- I personally love drawing kissing, but I can understand why you'd be nervous about it. Still- you did an incredibly job- especially for something you supposedly avoid drawing like the plague.
