another experiment from k-9 labs - a western lowland gorilla / wild boar hybrid, known as beau. he and trudy bernadette are considered cousins due to being created from the same experiments... though it's unknown why they were created in the first place. in beau's case, there was the unintended side effect that he's able to eat any kind of mushroom without any ill effect.

at some point prior to the events of the series, beau escaped k-9 labs along with several other experiments (notably kensington), and he's been living in the wild with that group for several years at this point. he's generally pretty chill, and overall introspective - beau also has a feeling like something is definitely wrong, and thinks kensington is hiding something from the rest of the group. beau doesn't necessarily think it's for malicious reasons, but nonetheless is wondering what's going on.

the aforementioned fact that beau can safely eat all kinds of mushrooms is a major reason why the other members of his group are a little hesitant to try any of the mushrooms he finds. it could be delicious, it could kill you, or you might have a really bad trip... probably not worth it.
