He should have gotten used to it by now, but the telling tap on his shoulder always tensed him.
He turned. Behind him stood a woman, patiently waiting with a letter folded between her hands.
Another delivery.
He took the letter without a word but before he could turn to leave, she stared and shook her head quickly.
"No, for you."

Hm, that was new.

He pulled it closer for inspection. A sniff revealed the smell of fresh ink. A glossy seal greeted him along the back.
She made no motions to help him actually open it, only frowning a bit when he had to resort to using his teeth to finish the job.
He looked up to thank her, but she had already turned heel and was shuffling back down the path she had come from.

Inside was a neatly written letter - an invitation, addressed to his stage name, requesting his presence at one of the local tea shops.
His mind raced. Had he messed up a delivery? He'd followed instructions meticulously, and surely they would have said something if otherwise. Unless...if this was the insurgency's action to lecture him?
He couldn't calm those thoughts on the way there, but it was better to show up than not at all.
The meeting wasn't what Artemis expected. A new group at play had taken interest in him, suspected because of his close relationship to Minister Yul. Depending on what they want and what they can offer, Artemis will hear them out.

It starts off small. Simple information exchanges for coin.
