★ Personality::
Despite his stubbornness and unwillingness to give in to others' opinions, he is actually fairy open-minded and merely likes to put up a fight so he can understand the person he is talking to. He can be rather snobbish and act over-privileged at times as a result of his poor socialization, but is much more sympathetic towards those who are injured or needy. He dislikes being in a large group and would much prefer to meditate on his own or be with one or two close friends. He doesn't mind isolation. With closer friends, he's rather mischievous and likes to tease them for fun reactions.

★ History::
He grew up with a smaller group of other Tibumeru who all eventually drifted apart for their various reasons, and Mute gradually became distant from the rest of his species as a result. He likes to train with his blindfold because he wants to hone his other senses. He used to live in an abandoned ship near Zezima's volcano in order to stalk the jellyfish boy, but moved into Maru's cave later.
Maru has recently mysteriously vanished from Mute's life, and Mute is deeply troubled on how to handle the loss. Mute has since sought out Dathan, one of his few friends that he felt would not press too much on the matter. Currently, Mute is living in Dathan's cave, returning the favor by hunting for Dathan and taking care of La.

★ Hobbies::
Eating raw fish, teasing people, exploring with friends. He'll do almost any activity that his friends want to, just to witness/hear their reactions.

Since he hardly ever uses his eyes, it's harder for him to pick up on physical social cues, and operates more or less entirely on tone inflection. He occasionally removes his blindfold if he senses the Tibumeru he's talking to is much stronger than him, but if he thinks that they are weaker, he'll keep it on. In a way, it's rather disrespectful.
He loves annoying Zezima mostly to see the other male's horrified reactions but generally does not tease others unless he is very close with them.

Despite his name being Mute, he can speak perfectly fine. He just prefers not to see.
He would rarely initiate a fight unless the other Tibumeru was SERIOUSLY bothering him. (aka won't leave him alone, keeps asking him questions, etc)
He is mostly nocturnal.
Despite his intimidating appearance, he is very protective of small children, regardless of what species it is.
He tends to enjoy annoying people, mostly because he gets attention from it.
He shakes the rings on his tailfin and listens to the returning sounds in order to determine what his determines are like.
If he truly trusts you, he will take off his blindfold and let you see his eyes.
His first mate was Maru.
He is a mix between a Cambodian comb/crown-tail betta fish and a Nurse shark .
