Description
This was during OtakuUniversity. It was a tiny Con with a tiny turnout of people. There were probably no more than 50 attendees and 30 staff. Yeah. Tiny.This was the last day while we were waiting for Aeris ~yuyufreak72 to show up. I was hungry, so I pretended to bite the apple for the picture...
never did eat that apple though. Aeris stole it from me later that day. ToT

They're not a matching pair, actually. Where I got the jacket was at a discount store and I got the pants at Ross. I seriously need to get a better suit, actually. This one is almost a year old and I"ve grown since then, not to mention worn it down a bit.

well, then, I have no idea. I make all my cosplays or, like for my Reno, buy the stuff from stores in town. Goodluck with that.

The outfit does seem pretty basic. I have no idea where to find stuff like that, though.... I would also need a wig, though, since i'm too lazy to go out and get some hair dye.... I usually wake up in the morning looking just like Reno, only without the red things under the eyes... ^_^;

What do you mean? I found a pretty good wig, and it doesn't look like I'll have to change it much. The suit looks pretty basic, too. Just a regular old suit. I think the only thing I would have a problem with is the goggles and the shoes, if I need specific shoes for this.

....... again, don't underestimate this cosplay.
The goggles have to be specifically goggles. That is the one of the larger mistakes: people use glasses, swim goggles or Cid goggles instead of bike goggles. Another thing is to make sure to wear them on the forehead and not ontop of the damn wig. Artistic license my ass. The shoes are just regular dresswear shoes, preferrably non-shiney. For the jacket, don't forget the silver zipper. Please. The rat tail has to be past shoulder length at least, and make sure the top part of the wig isn't obnoxiously poofy. Also, his eye tatoos are almost moon shaped, not some straight line like a football linebacker.
Also, there's minor details with the earring, the bangs, the hair tie, the shirt, the jacket pockets, the socks, and many other details on the EMR.
.... Sorry for ranting. I've just seen this cosplay destroyed so many times. Being as passionate about this cosplay as I am, please understand.

I get it. I've seen some pretty weird cosplays, too, and I does bug me when they get the details horribly wrong... Where might I find the goggles, though? I don't think they come with the outfit I bought...
I wasn't really aware of some of those details, though, like the zipper. I've only seen the movie once, and even then, I wasn't paying much attention to it... It just happened to be on while I was in the room...
Btw, what is EMR?

As odd as it might sound, try a gas station or a knife shop. Gas stations usually have goggles there for bikers, and knife shops usually have catelogs with different assortments of them (shooting/bike/swim/goggles.) Really, his "goggles" are actually sun glasses with side shields, but I have yet to find those and I've been looking for over a year.
It's a silver zipper. Even on the concept art you can see that the turks never had buttons on their suits.
Electro Mag Rod. It's Reno's weapon in the game/movie. I can't help too much with that except to suggest looking at a reference when making it.
His socks are black work socks. You can probably steal some from your dad when he's not looking...I think they're called... cuddlers? O.o?

I might just go without a weapon... but neh, how am I supposed to steal socks from my dad when he lives on the other side of the country?
Do you have any other ideas for the goggles? I don't think there are any shops like those around where I live, and I have very limited transportation...
Oh, and sorry if I'm bugging you with all of these questions. I really just want to make this cosplay as accurate as I can.

No no. I don't mind. Infact I appreciate that you're going to all this trouble. There are too many people who don't even try at this cosplay. You are definately trying. Have you ever gone to Cosplay.com? Search for Reno cosplays and tell me how many of them look decent. .... the answer is "very few." People mistake this cosplay as one they can pull out of their closet. It's not so at all.
