This is absolutely beautiful. The architecture and lighting are stunning and have helped to capture such a strong mood that is borderline magical. I'm really curious to know where such a room is and its story. Really well done!

Well thank you so much.
The picture was taken on the grounds of Ashford Castle near Cong on the border of counties Galway and Mayo.
There are many, many side buildings on the grounds, and this is one of them.

It must be a great place to take photographs. Looks like I'll have to add yet another place to my growing list of locations I dream to get to someday.

I agree on the light, it brought in just the right amount to cast shadows to show of the detail on the pillars and walls.

Just checked out some more of your pictures, they are amazing! LOVE them... Espcially the Ancient Ireland album.. How do you avoid ghosting in the HDR with the man and horse?

Ah, okay. Well, what you can do is process a single RAW image as HDR via tonemapping. And that is exactly what I did. Of course this is not a true HDR, but the effect can come out quite nicely.

I am sorry that it didn't work out for you that way. The only thing I can say is look up some good tutorials on HDR, and practice, practice, practice! You can fake different exposures in PS as well. Just take your original picture and save 2 copies, one overexposed and the other one underexposed. But of course a good HDR consist of at least 3 exposures via the bracketing option on your camera and use a tripod. So no moving objects possible. Whenever you see a moving object in a 'HDR' processed picture you can always identify it as pseudo.

The way I do the exposure when i do HDR is by setting the shutter speed so more and more light comes in to the sensor. When i do single raw file HDR i get to much noise.
Thanks for the advice anyways. Once more, love ur work

There is a magic in here. Something which trascends the mere sphere of the language. I wish I was there. I wish I felt the whispering sound of those silences...

It had to be said. If we let the beauty go away, if we do not talk about what amazes us, the world becomes really the place we do not want to live in: the ugly place where every one just try to reach a dark goal. We should share each smile, we should say one another the beautiful things we feel... But that is me. Sorry for this long, way to much, writing...
PS - Newly, Thanks for all the feelings You are able to share...

It was taken on the grounds of Ashford Castle, there are very mature gardens there, and many, many buildings, from little to huge. This cellar is one of them.

Dankjewel! Er zat een bijennest binnen, tegen een balk aan het plafond, maar daar was het te donker in die hoek, dus die kreeg ik er niet op, en ik had noch mijn flitser noch tripod bij me. Stom!!
