My entry into leviostars contest!

Sunburst mumbled to himself as he scoured the large crystal bookshelves, muttering title after title of countless books. Eventually, he came across what he was looking for.
"Aha! Spellbinding, perfect." He exclaimed while levitating the book down, resting it on the table behind him and trotting over to crack open the pages.
He sifted through the index and read the first few pages. Spellbinding was a complicated and intimate process shared between two unicorns, or in this case, an alicorn and a unicorn. The act created a magical bond between the couple it was performed on, enabling them to grow closer and share one and others energies making them both stronger. Sunburst had no interest in the power gained from the process however, he hoped to share the special connection with his wife, Twilight, in order to strengthen their already close bond. It also offered many other benefits such as one of the pair being able to heal and communicate with the other even when apart. With Twilight being such a powerful mage, he wondered why she had never been bound with anyone before since only talented unicorns can handle such a spell. Then it hit him. She had never had anyone to do it with. No close relationship like he and her now share.
"Sunburst? What's that you've got?"
Sunburst snapped back to reality and slammed the book shut, causing Twilight to peek over him at the cover.
"Advanced Spellbinding? What would you need that for?" Twilight questioned.
"Well, ehmm... you see... I-I think we..." He struggled to form a sentence. Looking towards Twilight's eyes, he was immediately at ease. Sunburst exhaled and tried again.
"I want to be spellbound to you"
The words stammered out and his cheeks flushed a bright crimson. Even after being married for years, Sunburst was still just as nervous as when Twilight had first met him.
Twilight didn't hesitate to respond,
"Oh Sunburst, that would be wonderful! You know, many famous unicorns bonded with a loved one to help them in battle, or even to help them explore another magical field!"
A slight smile spread across Sunburst's face, he loved when Twi got excited and babbled on about magic, much like he did himself.
"Here!" She took the book in her hooves and sat down, motioning him to sit with her.
"Right now? Shouldn't we prepare first?"
"There's no need, our trust and love is strong enough just now"
He sat next to her and they began to flick through the pages together, discussing theories and possible pros and cons of situations brought up within the book. Twilight began another excited rant about magic, Sunburst couldn't help but smile and stare at his wife. She caught on to his staring and leaned her muzzle against his. Though they didn't realise at the time, the two were almost bound in that moment.

Hooollly crap I'm so glad I got this finished in time. I had never really though about shipping Twi with anyone but her and Sunburst seem sweet together. The spellbinding idea is something that came to me when thinking about Shining Armour and Cadence and how to pair kinda have that special bond that they could easily combine/share their power with one another.
