Description My neighbour got a bouquet of flowers delivered but they came to my house because she wasn't in- thought I'd photograph them.

I feel i need to echo some of the stuff that *Kyndelfire has said - rule of thirds works very well here, with the main subject on the left, along with his comments on the lighting - creating a wonderful warm tone.

The colours here are exceptional. Vibrant colours really working together to make this something i'd hang on my wall.

Small piece of criticism though - The single flower standing out is a wonderful idea, and works well, i must commend you on your use of depth of field, intentional or not, but personally i would have made the flower that stands out a more contrasting colour with the rest, to make the piece slightly more striking. Something like a deep blue would work well here.

Nevertheless, one of, if not the best, flower pieces i've seen so far. Good job, a favorite.

This is in response to your reply in my forum post. ~skize 's gallery is very good. Thank you so much for sharing.

Onto your work. First, I love the how the flowers fill the frame, and I love the bright colours. They're gorgeous. Whoever sent the flowers to your naighbor is very kind, and I hope she enjoys them.

Excellent rule of thirds, keeping the main subject to the left. Very attractive to the eye. I also like the directional lighting, it makes for some lovely shadows that only bring out more colours. I think the only thing I would have liked to see would be a wider depth of field. This is a personal opinion of mine, because I love being able to see the different flowers, and I would have loved to see the yellow flowers more clearly. However, from an artistic standpoint, I like how you chose to make the rose really stand out, and I can appreciate that in it's own way.

Lovely, lovely. Keep up the good work, and I think I'll go take a browse in your gallery.
