(This is a Baldur's Gate 3 RP. Therefore, there will be spoilers here! Additionally, if you haven't played the game, you're unlikely to understand most of the starter, so consider yourself warned!)

It's been a dreadful journey. Between saving the Druidic Grove while killing the least amount of people, traveling through the Underdark, and exploring the Rosymorn Monastery, your party has been through a lot. But now, you approach what seemed to be the center of it all: Moonrise Towers.

You've traveled through the Shadowlands for a few days now. You've betrayed the hideous guardian that the Absolute sent for you and joined forces with the mysterious Harpers. After Absolute forces attacked the inn you stayed at in search of the cleric Isobel, you couldn't manage to save her. They took her, and now the Harpers send you to Moonrise Towers to infiltrate it as a cultist. This is your chance.

You and your party travel to the foreboding towers, fighting whatever creatures lurk in the way without much trouble. Eventually, you reach the bridge before the towers, where you see a familiar face... Minthara. You've spared her when she attempted to attack the Druidic Grove. This is bad news... if she remembers you, and she probably does, this could ruin your infiltration plan entirely!

"I was looking forward to seeing you here. Although, I must admit, I'm impressed; I wasn't sure if you'd make it this far." The drow starts off. "This is a good thing, of course. It makes you all the more valuable for the Absolute. I'm here to make sure you submit." She states with grim ambition. What does she mean by that? She knows the controlling powers of the Absolute have no effect on you, right...?

Suddenly, before you get a chance to react, she casts. Her eyes glow with red, ominous power; power that doesn't belong to her. You feel a grip on your mind, stronger than ever before; like a snake who's smothering your brain. You roll a Wisdom saving throw. You fail.

Your thoughts become muddled and unclear. You try to reach for your weapon, but your body doesn't comply. You try to move at all, but all you find yourself doing is writhing in pain as the spell takes full hold. You find yourself under the effect of an altered version of Dominate Person.

"I am aware the Absolute cannot reach you, so I'll have to use different measures to get the job done. But not to worry; you'll see the Absolute's light soon enough." Minthara says with a sinister grin.

I've enjoyed BG3 SO MUCHHH
I've just finished my second playthrough, and it's been amazing. I only wish they would've played with the mind control a bit with the PCs, but that can be remedied here, fortunately

I'm sorry I haven't explained or gone into details with a lot of things here. I mainly just wish to make sure that whoever goes into the RP actually played the game (because I'm not going to explain every little thing during the RP).

You can play as any character you'd like here, but I generally prefer females, so Shadowheart, Karlach, or any character of yours you have a picture of. I also wouldn't mind bringing in my own characters if you wanna play Minthara!
Also, if you're less fond of the scenario I described, we can definitely discuss it and change it or play a different one entirely. I have a few in mind that I wouldn't write a whole starter for, so let me know if you're interested!
