Alrighty!! And that's round three, folks. Feels goooooood to finally get to the emotional breakdown I've been writing towards for, what, nearly 100 pages? lmao
Full disclosure: this round was tough as fuck for me to write, and I feel like the beginning of Bupsy + Wynona's interactions suffered because of the attention I shunted over towards the later parts. I also wish I'd been able to do a little more shading (though I got the important parts, so no biggie). STILL, I'm very pleased with the effort. I can only hope I did my opponent's characters justice! Once again, I was facing , and it was a fuckin joy to draw their cute as hell characters.

Well, people usually up the ante in the third round with a big fight, a character dying, someone being put in critical condition, etc. Usually some form of action-based conflict. I decided to do an almost entirely emotional conflict. So this whole thing banks more on writing/character building than visuals, which can flop horribly if done wrong.

I noticed that but I wanted to hear it from you. I'm probably not a good person to gauge popularity of something from, but personally I think you did very well. It felt like a natural build-up from the previous rounds, and I feel like you should definitely keep emotional conflict around (maybe if you get to the final round, wrapping the conflict up idk you're the amazing artist and writer), and I really enjoy it (just as much as your action). I hope you make it to the end!

This is a fantastic round! I really like how this focuses on character drama than an outright fight. The part where he sort-relieved/sorta-horrified that he isn't changing is especially strong. Bupsy has fascinating chemistry with Wynona and while they look cute together, I imagine this is going to lead to some crazy, dark, or crazy dark stuff. Smart of Bupsy not to make an actual deal with her, though.
I very much enjoyed reading this comic and can hardly wait to see where the story goes form here. I would wish you good luck in this round, but it seems that you'll be moving on anyway. I'll wish you luck in Round 4, then!

Thank you!! This round was really hard but really fun to write, and I'm glad people are enjoying it. Kinda wanted to do less of the big action scenes you get in an OCTs 3rd act and try something more subtly compelling that relied on character writing.

TBH I think a Sam round would have been similar, but the key difference is that Sam woulda been actually genuine and a positive influence. WYNONA'S ONLY GONNA MAKE TROUBLE. We're officially on a darker timeline, it's villains all around for this one

It was tempting to do a more plot twisty type thing for ease of writing but the idea of doing an entirely character focused thing is too interesting at this point. C8
