This is old news to those of you who know me from tumblr, but I really wanna catch DA up to speed with all my creature/species lore, so anytime I find something significant I'm just gonna repost. Hope it's not too much of a bother!
ESSENTIALLY: All worm vampires carry the disease/virus/whathaveyou that turned them initially, and can pass it on freely. The human immune system is, however, quite capable of repelling it under most circumstances. And saliva is not an ideal vector. Turning usually only happens in deliberate, pre-selected cases, or as a very rare accident.

these vampires are srsly adorable. i LOVE the concept of super monstrous vamps, it's way more interesting than the normal fare.

i'm personally more fond of werewolves usually, so anything more monster-y is a+++ in my book.
i should make my own vampire oc (the only one i've still held onto) some kinda monster mash (at least outside of a human disguise)
