I wasn't sure exactly how I expected to express all my thoughts on this episode, so I thought I'd save some time by spending three hours or so compiling a bunch of screenshots from the show and giving my thoughts on them before I even discuss it with anyone else.Overall, I quite liked the episode. I liked how it told two very different stories at the same time. I liked how Daring Do's visual design allows her to be an analogue for Rainbow Dash. I like how wing boners get flaccid.
EDIT: HOLY SHIT I FORGOT RAINBOW DASH'S HOUSE WAS ALSO A THING THAT MADE ME GO AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH.
...So, apparently Hasbro own Milton Bradley. This explains things. Like the movie...

That thing is a creature from Aztec Mythology. Ahuitzotl the Ahuitzotl. So it's not as creative as you may have thought.

The vast majority of the creatures in the show are taken straight from mythology. In fact, Earth ponies and bunnies and the like are the only ones I can think of that actually exist in real life.

...was it only me, or did the mayan/aztec/egyptian James Bond villian with eyes-where-his-nose-should-be remind anypony else of the "Alien" from "Alien vs Predator"?
I mean, come on! He even uses predators as his minions! Hence, "Alien vs Predator"!

Thanks! And, yeah I'm not sure either. Knowing what I do about ze sequential arts I probably wouldn't actually call this a comic by any definition either, but sadly few groups have a gallery folder labeled "The Rambling Thoughts of an Affable Fool Scribbled Across Episode Screenshots".
They really gotta update that.
